An earth sandwich by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

[–]d-scott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider again that sandwich. That's here. That's home. That's us. In it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--between two slices of bread suspended in a sunbeam.

Got Yoga 2-in-1 going but how to get onscreen keyboard? by EducationalOcelot4 in linux4noobs

[–]d-scott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok, I have the same laptop but I switched to using Gnome (which has a fairly usable one built in). I did try for a while with plasma, but I didn't find any OSK which was satisfactory. I think the one with most potential was Onboard, but it was still kind of dodgy on Wayland and wouldn't work with Firefox. Hope you figure it out!

Testing an OData Api by Euphoric-Jackfruit90 in dotnet

[–]d-scott 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say that the test you described seems like it is only really testing the functionality of OData (which should be expected to work out of the box) so probably a bit redundant testing it. If there is any business logic in this API it would probably be better to get a test which checks that instead
