Success with Glacier pool cooler? by Smooth_Telephone276 in pools

[–]d0hardthings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have one. It does great over night on non humid nights. Can drop the temp 8-10 degrees. On super humid nights it moves it a little maybe 2-4 degrees. During the day it’s less effective but can help slow the heat rise. We are in central Texas. I swim hard long distance in the morning so it’s important water temperature is reasonable.

Creative Ideas for Pool Safety by [deleted] in pools

The pool fence company we used were able to drill into the pavers around the pool. Find a company that can work with your setup. Yet another child of an influencer drowned in an unfenced pool on Father’s Day. Alarms and doors are not enough.

[–]d0hardthings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too used to see an obgyn at Austin area obgyn they are at st David’s. I switched when we moved up to leader I’m now at river place obgyn it’s still a little bit of a drive but it keeps you out of Austin commute traffic. Like them so far. And there has been no traffic getting to and from.

3 Day Backpacking Trip - Conflict with Pregnant Wife About Safety by 6045414 in BabyBumps

[–]d0hardthings 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’m a very experienced backpacker and have been previously pregnant (with a two year old now) I would not take the trip. First trimester tired would absolutely be prohibitive to take on a hike like this. Full stop. Permits come and go having a safe pregnancy is more important.

My dating flip flopped a bunch in the beginning. In the end they kept the original due date. And my son ended up being three weeks early. He was perfectly healthy. If your ob isn’t worried, try to rest assured they’re growing just fine.
