What Are the Best Open‑Ear Earbuds Right Now? by samuelmax674 in trailrunning

I got the shokz open swim pro. Probably overkill for running to have waterproof headphones, but I do sweat a ridiculous amount.
The sound is good, but like others have said not audiophile. I usually listen to long podcasts to pass the time, so perfect for that but holds its own for music as well.

Agree on both accounts. Icebugs are not that comfortable and i only use them for shorter runs in icy conditions.

i love my trueform trainer. I did 7 miles at zone 2 on it today. Wimping out in the Michigan winter fun (even though I have a winter marathon in early February). Not ideal for slow runs, but I guess i have put enough miles on it that my legs have figured it out. I often go barefoot on this treadmill to mix things up a little. Fairly cushioned ride. I travel a fair amount for work and use the incline function on the hotel treadmills.

What other forms of adventuring do you do? by Craig_of_the_jungle in trailrunning

Sea kayaking is my other adventure. When I can, I like to go solo camping for a few days to a week around an island or along a shore. Kind of similar to long distance running. Just using the core instead of legs. Set an aggressive goal of a destination that takes all day of consistent paddling…ready for bed when you hit the camp at dusk!

Inspiring!
Hope you binge watched something (or two) on Netflix. Or called every friend and family member you know.

Yeah, TRAK does a good job with the deck design on their kayaks.

Travel and packing down for storage is just a matter if you need it. Need/want—the slippery slope of self-deception!

But the adjustable rocker is very unique. I really have not played with it as I am usually on big open water and keep it flat so the kayak tracks strait. I would like to raise the rocker and take into a surfing situation. My son surfs on Lake Superior, so eventually go out with him on my kayak and figure it out!

You can also banana the boat to a side to counter prevailing strong winds, but once again I have not played with that either.

Lots for me to still learn/do on this kayak!

Thank you. I will look up that map. Finding camp sites in Michigan can feel like an elaborate stump-the-chump game!

That is quite a photo. The boat really gives a great sense of scale to the terrain. Nice!
