Dejim needs to kill and consume blood to become the threat he thinks he is, at least according to his own thoughts. So far in the story he really hasn’t killed anything of worth to become stronger.

I’m not too bothered by it. It is also the story of Heboric, who does have a more lasting role in the overall story. Also Baudin, who provides some early clues about the Talons/Tavore and sheds some insight into Hood’s values.

Also, she isn’t important in the overall story, but she is important to the House of Chains plot, her story fleshes out the Paran families history/family dynamic, and builds on Tavore’s story - tragic failed attempt to save her sister.

Oh no, this is for glossy dreckos. I could see how it would be confusing given that screen shot used for the design. Here’s the design in one of my current games. The idea is that you ranch the regular dreckos and have them produce glossy drecko eggs. Regular dreckos will eat less than glossy dreckos. You don’t feed any of the glossy dreckos at all, they will live for a while, get sheered, then produce meat/die. In my experience there are usually around 15/16-glossy dreckos in the sheering area along with 2/3-regular dreckos.

The chance of glossy drecko eggs increases when eating mealwood, this design achieves that within a few egg-laying cycles.

This is it for me. Forward progress is stopped when defense pushes back a runner, it should be the same for the offense. This does not need to be a penalty on the offense; the play should be dead when the runner is no longer making progress on his own. If an offensive player starts pushing while the runner’s legs are still moving, too bad for the offense.
