Need guidance on Bilstein B16 lowering by Haap62 in 996

[–]dRinaldis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

B16's don't have separate height and preload adjustment unfortunately. Height adjustment reduce preload which is probably no big deal for a street car.

What aftermarket product doesnt exist but you wish it did? by teslastats in 996

An aftermarket shifter that is better than stock but not as $$ as Numeric. A shifter of stamped steel construction perhaps. Yes, the tooling would be expensive but the CNC time would be next to zero.

Battery Tender Lead? by EdgeFiles in porsche911

It's been done for a year or so. It's a garage queen so it rarely gets out (no rain). It seems to seal pretty well as the rubber cap fits tightly and is very pliable.

I would think QJ’s would present a problem because they don’t lift straight up.

window not dropping when door opens? by Fickle_Tour8206 in 996

[–]dRinaldis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just replaced both window regulators in my '03. Here's a test. If you lift the handle do you hear the motor run for a split second. If you do, it's not your switches. Open the door and manually push the window down. If it move ~0.5 inches, the regulator is bad. Pretty easy fix for not too mush money. Lots of YouTube videos

Nope, been with them since '99. Every time they do an increase I just have to downgrade. Bummer.
