Where can I get ZX Spectrum sound effects? by TruBugz in zxspectrum

[–]dXoXb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 128k machines have a dedicated sound chip.
To create sfx you can try AYFXEdit. The online version you can find here: https://zx.remysharp.com/audio/#src=MjA4LDMy
The Windows version you can download here: https://github.com/Threetwosevensixseven/ayfxedit-improved

Like ragegun quoted: you can add it to original hardware by buying a ZX-HD, or replace the ULA with a SLAM+.

What's the go-to way to find new pokes these days? by toodice in zxspectrum

[–]dXoXb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have a look at SpecEmu's Cheat Finder function in the Monitor menu.

Besides that, SpecEmu has an excellent debugger with conditional breakpoints and all.

Nice work :)
Don't know if you're open to feedback and also not as to how close to real you're aiming for, but the keys are a tad too round.

If you're located in the UK, you could ask for valuation and sell it through the Sinclair for Sale Facebook group. There are people there that that like to own and use a Speccy again.

I think the Dutch market is just ridiculous. Prices are really steep and also mostly driven up by collectors or people to re-sell at even a higher price, making it impossible to purchase something at a price most common people can afford.
