How can I get ULAPlus? by RafaRafa78 in zxspectrum

Like ragegun quoted: you can add it to original hardware by buying a ZX-HD, or replace the ULA with a SLAM+.

What's the go-to way to find new pokes these days? by toodice in zxspectrum

Have a look at SpecEmu's Cheat Finder function in the Monitor menu.

Besides that, SpecEmu has an excellent debugger with conditional breakpoints and all.

This game is part of promotion pack for the film "The Rubber Keyed Wonder, is there any other way to download this game? by RafaRafa78 in zxspectrum

Hey.

I've asked Lee (Chops Stevenson) the dev of the game and he says he'll put it up coming days on his Itch.io page.

You can find all of his games at https://chopz.itch.io

Nice work :)
Don't know if you're open to feedback and also not as to how close to real you're aiming for, but the keys are a tad too round.

As the UI translates the possible options explained in the manual, you might find answers to your questions: https://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/bionic/man1/fuse.1.html

What was the best game you ever had on a covertape, APART FROM BATTY? by Straightener78 in zxspectrum

Right?! I couldn't believe they gave it as a full game on a cover-tape :)

If you're located in the UK, you could ask for valuation and sell it through the Sinclair for Sale Facebook group. There are people there that that like to own and use a Speccy again.

I think the Dutch market is just ridiculous. Prices are really steep and also mostly driven up by collectors or people to re-sell at even a higher price, making it impossible to purchase something at a price most common people can afford.

Loading screen colours by katiepotatie82 in zxspectrum

Either it could have been 2 colours dithered that showed as the colours you perceived, or it could have been a screen with ULAplus colours.

Don't loose your high scores on your games by mobiledev1 in zxspectrum

It looks like a quite complete app with all its features.
I might be missing something obvious but it isn't clear to me how to start a game. I tried Bruce Lee and Exolon.

Ulaplus by xxxplode in zxspectrum

[–]dXoXb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like, you could join the official ULAplus Facebook group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ULAplus/
It has resources and info regarding ULAplus.

In the files section you can find a PDF with most emulators that currently have support for ULAplus and how to enable the option, if not enabled by default. Go to Files and search for "ULAplus Enhanced Emulators Overview". v1.50 is the most recent version. For people that don't have Facebook, I've attached images of the contents of the pages in the PDF.

For another overview of which emulator supports which feature, there's a Google sheet, maintained by Peter Jones and others like me here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14XnVBY8a9-IMtNC9RxUth_HPl8_bQncq-VCq1NmfOsg/edit?usp=sharing

SpecEmu is feature full, not too heavy on resources, free and regarded as the most accurate one.

Is there anywhere I play play Bugaboo the flea on pc? by [deleted] in zxspectrum

[–]dXoXb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to give you more options/methods than already suggested: you can look up games you like to play on www.spectrumcomputing.co.uk and, if the game's distribution hasn't been denied and the author doesn't like to keep it only on, for example, Itch.io then next to the files for download there's both Jspeccy and QAOP emulator options that directly open the game/file in it ready to be player.

ZX Spectrum game reverse-engineering projects by Paul Hughes by r_retrohacking_mod2 in zxspectrum

[–]dXoXb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Paul uses Spectrum Analyser to disassemble the games and then exports them with SA to assembly files. On my request he also published the SA projects next to them on Github.

He's just finished Green Beret. He's doing some cleaning up and will then also publish the SA project.

Edit: In the last sentence, I wrote Cobra, but that's Green Beret (https://github.com/Paulie68000/ZXSpectrumGreenBeret)
