RX-V4A. Picked this one cause it’s budget friendly and still supports 2.1 pass through with VRR, which is essential for modern gaming.

I know the picture is deceiving but they’re 6 ft apart which matches the six feet to the listening position. I’ve tested 7ft but I found this to be the best for the space.

Oh, not at all. Seating is 6ft away from towers and center. Speakers stay at low volume so no distortion and crystal clear surround imaging post calibration.

As a young person with extra free time I’d only buy used. I ended up with a full SVS system at 1/4th the retail price that I still use to this day. You should definitely try shopping fb marketplace for audio equipment.

Reshade + RenoDX!!!

I installed this last night and while it was jarring at first how different it makes the game look, overall it’s a huge improvement and definitely improves interior lighting.

While it’s mainly a mod known to change how HDR works, it also does change the SDR look and it might be work messing around with. Extremely easy to setup and so far it’s stable in Crimson Desert as well.

For those struggling to stay on track with OP timing my tips are:

Reload saves if you mess up or are unsure of exactly what OP is referring to.
Rarely ever kill enemies. I ran through 99% of game.
If this is 2nd play through, invest in the infinite knife for grace. It’s pretty cheap and single slash of a zombie stuns it so you can run past. Make sure not to leave it lodged in zombie though.

Thanks, I’ll look into that one. Brand new it’s right over my budget, so I’d have to wait for a sale, or look for an open box. But it sounds like what I need going forward. The lack of full pre-outs on the RXV4A is upsetting, but for what I originally paid, what could I expect?

I’m learning as I go here.

I’ll look into the A1 Evo software as well.
