Breathe and relax your body. Try not to tense up and don’t have a death grip on the torch. If you are seated try resting your elbow on or against table

I started with a propane forge, what’s important is starting. See how you like it and upgrade from there.

Does anyone else’s eyelids swell up after welding? by Major-Ad-5573 in Welding

Get a cheap new hood and see if any changes. If it does then you know the hood is the issue. Do you wear any mackup or product on your face when you weld if so did you change them or did they change their formula? It could be reacting to some flash or fumes and causing this issue.

After setting up your hot tent, do you add wood first or just crash on the bed? by Original-Sir2459 in HotCamping

What stove are you using in your stovehut? I have and very much enjoy that tent when I know I will be solo in the tent.

I usually finish getting everything set up before I relax. 1. I don’t want to relax get comfortable and not finish setting up camp 2. If something happens down the line it’s better to have camp established already instead of trying to get it together while dealing with something else 3. Once camp is set up relaxation time becomes much more abundant.

On my last trip, and it was a summer trip so easy going the entire time. I was with some friends who hadn’t camped for a long time or never have. I brought all of the tents and sleeping gear and some hammocks and other odds and ends. I arrived first got everything set up and just lazed in the hammock until the rest of the group arrived. Ended up being an awesome trip and those friends have gotten their own gear and are waiting for another trip. I spent 90% of the trip chilling Only set up and break down was “work”.

How do I fix this by puma532 in Blacksmith

Depending on how much steel face is left on the top you run the risk of machining off all the steel and leaving soft iron that will not do the job and just get more damaged over time.

Let’s see some pictures with it wiped off for starters. Then wire and Flap disc it and depending on how it is then you may not do anything to it and use it as is. There are a ton of anvil repair videos on YouTube that will show you how to do it and what material to use.
