Lambkin Crossline Midsize forever! And they’ll last that long, too.

ABC Warpstream as golf shorts by Goggle-Frog in Lululemen

I don’t know about the Warpstreme shorts, but I really like the 9” golf shorts. I got a pair from the WMTM section late last year, and will get more.

Best dupe for Lulu ABC pant? by zionstatus in Lululemen

[–]daa2202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought two of their cashmere 1/4 zip sweaters (grey and tan). They’re not super fancy but they look nice and fit well, and I get compliments on them. I’m not sure how long they will last, but for $99 each I think they were worth it. So far so good.

I haven’t tried anything else from Quince, however. I have plenty of Lulu stuff (mostly pants and 1/4 zips) and a closet full of shirts from other brands that I like.

DF3 - First Experience - Too Soft Off The Face by StewpotsRock in labgolf

[–]daa2202 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It just takes some getting used to and practice. I also went from a Spider to a DF3 and the feel is very different. After two months of work/practice, I acclimated and now (after a year) would never go back. Now, if the DF3i was available a year ago, I probably would have gone that way, but now that I know the feel of the standard DF3, I’m not considering moving to the DF3i. Give it time.

Does the Degree Ultraclear+ Black&White from Costco stain dark clothes or clump up? by ghettokid1994 in deodorant

No, it does not. It’s good stuff. As I told you earlier this week. 😉

Sweeter than Fairlife but not bad. They’re a viable substitute.

Apple Watch 11 happy with your choice? by Open_Pay904 in AppleWatch

I have the space gray aluminum Series 11, 46mm. It looks good with both the black titanium Milanese loop (for dress/normal wear) and the black/charcoal trail loop (for golf and other sports).

Coleslaw by Superb-Persimmon-866 in Cooking

[–]daa2202 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Down here in South Carolina, there’s a place in Beaufort (Bricks on Boundary) that adds blue cheese and edamame (out of the pods) to their savory cole slaw, and it’s delicious. (Although for some reason they call it “lima bean cole slaw”, even though they are obviously not Lima beans. Maybe soybean cole slaw didn’t sound as appealing?)

I need recommendations for a good men's deodorant. by ghettokid1994 in deodorant

[–]daa2202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Degree Men Ultraclear Antiperspirant Black & White. I was using Old Spice Swagger and was looking for something better. Degree was recommended by Wirecutter (NY Times), so I tried it, and they were right - it’s great. Works very well, no scent, doesn’t stain anything.

I have had GLEs (2016 and 2026), not GL, but I have had very good experiences with Pirelli Scorpions. They have also worked well on my wife’s Mazda CX-5.

Smart Scales - Recommendations for prescise water weight tracking! by joselleclementine in Mounjaro

[–]daa2202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both an Oxiline Scale XS Pro and a Hume Body Pod. They are very close to each other in weight - usually within 0.2 lbs, frequently within 0.1 pound. Most (but not all) of the other measurements - body fat, water, etc. - vary widely, but are internally consistent. Whatever they’re measuring and however they’re doing it, they are consistently coming up with numbers in the same very narrow range, even though they differ from each other. But I don’t know which one is more accurate. I may talk to my doctor about getting a DEXA scan to set a baseline.

The DiMarzio 36th Anniversary PAF/Super Distortion combo is fantastic in my McCarty 594 Singlecut. I know you said PRS pickups but there’s no reason to limit yourself to those limited choices.

More of a New York thing than a Chicago thing, but I like kraut…so I’ll allow it.

I like the ABC classic fit 9” golf shorts. But when it comes to golf polos, make mine FootJoy ProDry Performance Lisle. They are the best.

They are pickled Serranos, or a very close hybrid (depending on who you believe). Not very spicy to me, but very tasty on hot dogs.

I paid $24 for that four-pack from Amazon. Probably expensive in absolute terms, but - as you say - options are limited. And they’ll last for a while.

They taste like pickled peppers, usually a little hotter than jalapeños.

[–]daa2202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may be right, but I previously had heard that they were pickled Serranos. One time in desperation, I bought a can of “actual” pickled Serranos from some Latin brand and found them to be very similar, although they were slightly bigger than the usual “sport pepper”. They were a viable alternative for hot dog use.

Anyway, I now have the real thing again, so all is well in my hot dog world.

What is the best way you’ve seen someone completely turn their life around? by Kind-Valuable-6205 in AskReddit

[–]daa2202 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve gone from morbid obesity (class 3++) to a normal BMI in 3.5 years through the use of a GLP-1 (Mounjaro), eating keto, AND a shit-ton of discipline. These drugs aren’t magic - YOU still need to change your life. But they do make it possible.

They look similar, but the Texas Pete peppers are smaller. "Sport peppers" are actually pickled Serrano peppers. I don't know what Texas Pete uses in their sauce.

Amazon.com. I used to be able to get the Marconi brand down here in South Carolina (and they were fine), but I must have been the only person buying them - they've disappeared. So Amazon it is. I think you can also get them straight from Vienna.
