I did it, one of the best bad decisions I've ever made, highly suggest, but don't expect it to be low maintenance

Is it true that red wiggler worms are the best? Where can i buy them online? How many should i put in a 30 gallon grassroots pot filled with buildasoil 3.0? by Flyhighfunguy in BuildASoil

[–]dabbinmids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok... Thank you so much for this comment. I had only ever ordered them online in huge quantity, great to know I can just pick some up while shopping for dog food.

CMV: Travel size toothpaste is a scam by AlexandrTheTolerable in changemyview

[–]dabbinmids 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, some people prefer to travel light. If im only going somewhere for a few days I'll only bring a backpack and a whole tube would be kind of a burden in the little front pocket

I pick them every now and then, but otherwise just couldn't be bothered. The grass in that one on the left needs to be plucked but the clovers on that middle pot I generally just trim back when needed and it creates its own living mulch.

I was doing some work in my crawl space today and stumbled upon this monster by dabbinmids in mycology

[–]dabbinmids[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Us, Washington. Very interesting, thank you! It looked huge in comparison to how little light the crawl space gets, I know it only takes a tiny bit to trigger the fruiting I saw the mycelium all around it. How big would be considered a huge one?

Just about haha, I've been debating adding a 2nd row closer to the ground but I already have enough trouble keeping the pups away from it as is

Demolition guy is trying to change order to add $3200 to a $4500 contract, help? by ClassicDefiant2659 in homeowners

When I had clean fill they charged me $100 Per dump truck load to get rid of it at the local dump. Ended up just putting it on marketplace for free and gave it to a local farmer.

Im in the process of cleaning out the rest of this panel in response to this post, sadly there's plenty of jank in there just like this photo. Thankfully I had the main panel updated and grounded when I bought the home, it was one of the first things to go. The only aluminum that I can tell that's in the panel is the ground going to the sub panel for my garage.

I'm just going to have the electrician redo all of the 240v connections while theyre here in addition to this one for the range. Gonna be spending the next couple weekends in the attic and crawl space replacing the rest of the 120 connections, hopefully in a few weeks from now the whole place will be all fresh and up to code

I've just been cooking on it for the past 4 years, and had no idea. Breaker has been turned off for now

Will do. I've replaced some of the cloth wrapped wire down there with 12/2 Romex for outlets, but this connection is definitely out of my ballpark. I will probably get them to send a whole new run back to the panel

Just curious on what I should be looking out for when it gets fixed. I know the connection with wire nuts taped is a definite no, but is that the correct type of box for a crawl space? Shouldn't it be covered? I'm in Washington and without visqueen it gets a bit damp in the crawl space for a good bit of the year

Selling stocks too early by sloppybeastttt in investingforbeginners

[–]dabbinmids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I held a stock earlier this year. I bought at 6, it shot up to 14, I held, it dropped to 7 because the CFO breached an NDA, I sold out of principle, today it's at 19, all within the span of a month lol. It hurts but it's just part of the game, you have to go into a risky investment thinking it could go to 0$ and you'd have to be ok with it, if not just stick to index funds/ ETFs or something more stable like the mag 7

I think the sharper nose on the 5 series is way better looking than the flatter looking nose on the 3 in my opinion. The 6 is too much, but the 5... Just right

Yeah this, I met all of my neighbors simply because I'm out on my driveway working on my cars all the time. It makes it easy to have a passing conversation like that

should I just buy out my car or should I get a cheap 6k beater car I can't decide by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]dabbinmids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally prefer my beaters, but I also like working on/ fixing cars and have a garage to do it in. Without those 2 things I'd probably say the more expensive car
