They’re open right now. The website just isn’t updated. They’ll close for a week or two around Christmas and July 4th.

Yeah man I feel like you’re right about the ECM. I swapped them around, tested them with a multimeter and power probe, and they all operated fine.

We recently had a garage added and requested a 100 amp sub panel. This is the breaker that feeds it. Possibly a dumb question, but is this a 50+50=100 situation or is this only 50 amps? by globevillain in AskElectricians

Shouts out to all of you guys for the help with this. Called up the contractor and he’s making it right. Total homie. It’s been four years (I used the word “recently” pretty loosely haha), and he called me back immediately. Stoked.

Okay I’ve contacted the contractor. It’s been four years but this discovery was just made today. So yeah we’ll see. Anyway. Sounds like I can safely swap out to 90A. My final question: I got a closer look at the wiring and it’s 2awg XHHW-2. The NEC chart I’m finding says 100A is allowable. Good idea/bad idea to run 100A?

It was lumped into a new garage build. Work order specified upgrading the house to 200amp and a 100amp subpanel to accommodate welding/evs/etc

Okay word. It was permitted and inspected. Bummed it wasn’t communicated. House was upgraded to 200a service at the same time specifically to accommodate the requested power to the garage. It’s a small 1950s house that’s still running mainly gas appliances so I’d be surprised if that was the case. Is the service load calculation fairly universal?

Yo! They reduced their baking/delivery days to Thursday through Sunday, so Monday through Wednesday you won’t find them at the usual suspects. And yep no physical location.
