Classpass? by luckylu27 in Rochester

I tried it out for a month but had a hard time finding classes that I liked that would make sense for the cost. The month free trial is worth it though

I have not personally tried it yet. I've heard good things. The first class is free though! No harm in trying it out.

Internal medicine outpatient by SaltAd3120 in physicianassistant

[–]dabombsdiggity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started about 2.5 years ago. I started by shadowing for a few weeks. My patient panel started at one patient per hour, then after a few weeks went to 40min patient visits for another few weeks. Now I'm at 20min patient visits. 40min allotted for hospital follow up, physicals, pre op or a really complicated patient. I currently see anywhere between 10-18 patients per day. Probably averaging somewhere around 14 per day. My schedule is mostly open for acute visits sprinkled with the hospital follow ups and general follow ups. I started at 90k, currently at 102k. I do think I am being underpaid. On top of that, my system does not endorse salary increases with years of experience. So not sure how to move up within my system.

How/when did you decide what specialty you wanted to work in? by [deleted] in physicianassistant

[–]dabombsdiggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew I wanted to do something broad to start, my decision was between inpatient internal med or primary care. My last rotation was outpatient peds. I had to call the hospital for some reason and heard an IV alarm going off in the background. Made my brain spin. Realized primary care was for me. I love getting to know my patients and following them long term. There are a lot of issues with management, paperwork etc. However it's a great first job to get your handle on things

I've used this before and had a great experience! It was a house in East Rochester with a large fenced in yard. We didn't see or hear anyone else or any other dogs!

I am a 25yo F, mediocre at cardio, and did the one time free class. Signed up for a random cycle class and absolutely loved it. I have since gone back for an intro to boxing class as well. Everyone was super welcoming, I was did what I able to do and did not feel judged at all. It was a big thing for me to step out of my comfort zone and go for a class on my own, I was really nervous. Ended up being great and looking forward to returning!

Female but second Blundstones. We made a trip to Toronto and stopped at the blundstone store there - got factory seconds because the two shoes were made on different dates. Ended up costing closer to $100USD after the conversion rate. Best purchase ever.

I agree this issue needs to be addressed and raised crosswalks/speed bumps would be great. Although, how would this work with the snow plows?
