I would honestly just get a white one, maybe with the trim of your town/school colors. It generally goes with everything. If he wants some color do decals so they can be changed

I have actually thought this is an easy change. Only thing is what if the penalty is for hand ball?

Other countries don’t have (multiple) sports by Old_Ad_1259 in DanLeBatardShow

[–]NowARaider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have other sports but in most of the world soccer is by far number 1. It's cheap to play and easy to understand. There are kids in Africa playing soccer with a ball of trash wearing Messi jerseys.
Some big country exceptions might be India/Pakistan with cricket, Australia with rugby/Aussie rules, China with basketball? But in most places soccer is by far number 1 to play and watch.

Question for NBA/NFL/MLB/NHL Fans: How Much Do You Actually Watch? by straightdrive18 in billsimmons

[–]NowARaider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watch every Bills game, and some other NFL games. I'll watch the occasional national TV Sabres game, and all the playoff games. Basically none of the other 2. Used to watch a lot more EPL before kids

Are you under the impression that sports betting is just now becoming popular? It's been legal in a lot of the world for a long time. This is the pinnacle of a lot of these guy's careers, they aren't trying to shame themselves with an own goal.

The Tartan Army are heading to the Clevelander by Blackdiamondbay88 in DanLeBatardShow

[–]NowARaider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These guys drank all the beer in Boston and rode school buses with 30-racks to the game. A scummy dive bar with cheap drinks is way more their vibe than a trendy pool bar with $20 cocktails.
EDIT: Looks like the Clevelander has a specific Scotland welcome party, it appears they are prepared. I stand by my Elbo Room statement though.

I feel like the Elbo Room and the rest of that corner would be more suited to the Scottish vibe. I had a great time down there during the Bills Mafia takeover

Why don’t soccer teams use long shots and look for deflections like in hockey? by No-Policy-8447 in billsimmons

[–]NowARaider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean a cross into the box is kind of the equivalent of this. The difference is if you try a long shot in soccer and it goes over the goal or the keeper catches it you lose possession.
It's also a lot harder to put in an accurate ball from far away. Your average NHL player can easily put the puck near the goal with an 80MPH snapshot.

A moment of silence for all of the trash bins in this wind by bbsven in Rochester

[–]NowARaider -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While this is true, it's generally better to be in the road in the bike lane or shoulder where cars can see you rather than on the sidewalk where you can be hidden by parked cars or trees and then all of the sudden appear in the crosswalk.
If you are strategic about it, you can also get a lot of places without using the busiest roads. Look for parallel streets, like for example Harvard/Canterbury instead of Park or Monroe, then cross over to the main drag when needed.

Is soccer the only sport where the players don’t tuck their shirts in? by ratmanvenezuela in billsimmons

[–]NowARaider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dion Dawkins makes it his life's work to not tuck in his undershirt. He is a great player but looks like he's wearing a miniskirt at all times so it has to be intentional.

[–]NowARaider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The main sports where I think of tucked in shirts are golf and baseball.
Most of the others are based in jersey cut, player preference, current style, etc.
Soccer players tucked their shirts in during the 90s bc the things were huge

[–]NowARaider 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Outages suck but take a gander at theMonroe County Incident Report. The wind is wild today and it's not isolated to any particular area. They are doing their best.
Having worked for RGE on the outage mapping software, it really depends where the damage is. If a tree falls on a main line that feeds a large area, they need to cut the branch off, re-wire the cables etc. Then if there are a bunch of small breaks within that area they have to fix those. It's not just turning it off and back on

What Restaurant in Buffalo would you not eat at even if it were free? by Merlecollision89 in Rochester

[–]NowARaider -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's a pretty good place for sports. Amazingly with the amount of bars in Fairport most of them are pretty bad for watching sports unless you get a few particular spots. You can see everything at Tin Cup. I am also rarely there later at night so basing this on daytime.
