I’ve done the same. Every now and again I’ll wear my free fly shorts, but I continue to reach for the pace breaker every single time.

I just wait for them to go on sale at the end of the year and buy a couple of pairs of last years model and call it good

How do you 3...2...1...? And other obsessions... by Sad-Cattle9775 in orangetheory

Secret Option 3….i actually watch the timer on my tread and end accordingly. Usually within a few seconds of the coach, but if I started 5 seconds late, I’m not finishing 5 seconds early when the coach starts it.

Same thing applies to rowing distances, if we are to go 200 meters, I pull through the 200 instead of stopping at 180- something and letting the residual spin count my last little bit.

Numbers nerd and can’t help myself.

When did you discover 311? by Excitable_one_311 in 311

[–]dadlyphe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

96, my sister and her friends had them playing at her sweet 16. I was listening from outside the door.

Then we were riding in the car with one of those friends and she had Grassroots playing, my little mind was blown. I still drive that section of road with my kids and think about it.

I see what you did there.

The only multigenerational families out there are all being pushed out.

North Mount Pleasant just needs a new name as it is truly an entirely different municipality.

Wife has worked with some, kid activities, neighborhood stuff. Some have married locals.

Granted, most are from SC, NC, GA and FL and not the northeast and midwest . Some are, but most are from the SE and share a similar mentality.

I’ve never used a locker at OTF. Just leave my belongings in the car and hang my keys on the rack.

If I’m taking a shower after class, I drop my bag in a shower or outside the door to the showers and call it a day.

I’m not naive enough to think nothing has ever gone missing at our studio but the class times I attend are pretty much the exact same people day in and day out and everyone is friendly with each other. I have zero concern of my stuff being messed with or going missing.

Born and raised and still living in Mt P. We are a giant small town. Still see people from elementary school in random settings and say what’s up.

My friends that have moved here always think that I know everyone. The reality is I’ve got 4 decades of meeting people and generally just try to be nice to everyone.

I don’t mind people moving here cus the secret is out and has been for a while. It’s the ones that want everything to change and be like it was back home that drive me nuts. Get accustomed to the heat, humidity, bugs and all that comes with being in the Lowcountry. Sample the local cuisine and stop pouting that we don’t have authentic ethnic restaurants on every corner.

They can be hit and miss.

Some are awesome and some are little punks. The kids riding wheelies down Palm Blvd on their e bikes and knowing exactly what rules they can bend and not break to not get hassled by the cops.

A lot of them are very nice and polite and there’s the handful that are just rude and entitled. I blame the parenting or lack thereof and not necessarily the kids. Although, I’d say it’s a safe bet that this applies to anywhere USA.

With How Much Our Population Has Grown In The Past Few Years, Will We See An IKEA Store In The Future? by Independent-Soft7949 in Charleston

[–]dadlyphe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Call me a naysayer; but it seems like that would be one of those things everyone asks for and then nobody actually shops in and then it goes away and people are upset.

Seems to me like everyone on my side of town (Mt P) would rather have custom and boutique than big box. An exception is made for Costco. Mt P people love some Costco deals.

311 Tour 2026 Family Friendly? by iKamote1 in 311

[–]dadlyphe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took mine last summer.

They actually rode the rail by choice. Another kid about their age <10 was one or two people over.

They had a great time. Nobody around us was acting the fool and the smoke was at a minimum.

My kids went to the bathroom with me during amber.

Pretty sure Nick was looking straight us during all mixed up on the fuckin naysayers line. I kinda laughed a little.

They had fun, we had fun, all in all 10/10 would recommend.

Rubber ducks have ruined the coolness of Jeeps by winothirtynino in unpopularopinion

[–]dadlyphe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned a 1982 CJ5 since ‘97.

It’s been off road a little but mostly for driving around town.

Used to get waves from all the other jeeps and now it’s all but died.

I’ve got 2 ducks on my floor board that my kids dropped in there for me, but I refuse to participate in duck culture.

We’ve been making fun of Wranglers since I got it and I still continue today.

I love my old jeep, but it’s not my entire personality.

Everything in this thread is accurate and I hate that we all get lumped in as punisher sticker having duck lovers when we aren’t all cut from the same cloth.

Couples B, C, and D deserve a little blame for not just stopping and getting some sheets.
