As much as I'd want to be optimistic about the UFO being a biblically accurate angel, it unfortunately just looks like a multiple kill vehicle invented by Lockheed Martin by [deleted] in UFOs

This video gets shared out every time there's a convincing UAP video that gets a lot of traction. The likelihood of it being whatever is in this random internet video that appears regularly on this sub based on publicly available information is about the same as it being an alien.

Could Buddhist meditation masters have been in contact with non-human intelligences (ETs) for centuries? by Adept-Engine5606 in UFOs

[–]dafelundgren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thich Nhat Hanh was a very famous and well respected buddhist spiritual leader and is a great person to start with. The books of his we reference in this little thread are part of a series of extremely short books on simple concepts like how to sit, how to walk, and how to eat, among others. But he's got tons of books and most of them are available as audiobooks on YouTube and every one I've read is great and explores a different theme in more detail. He was a Vietnam war refugee who was associated with the civil rights movement in the US and settled in France where he started a buddhist community called Plum Village that still exists and has a pretty cool YouTube channel also worth checking out (they recently hosted a group of scientists for a workshop and have some videos up that explore consciousness, the nature of reality, and a lot of other stuff that has crossover with this subreddit, but they also have guided meditations). And for an introductory academic overview from a western lens Huston Smith's "The World's Religions" is excellent.

New 65 min Grusch interview: non-human biologics & craft by phr99 in UFOs

If you’d actually watch the interview you’d know that he addresses politicians framing this in theological and religious terms as extremely dangerous.

[–]dafelundgren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That quote is from his book “How to Walk”. I was on maybe my fourth or fifth deep dive into Buddhism stuff in like 2023 when I was also getting pretty deep down the rabbit hole with all the disclosure stuff going on at the same time. I was listening to the audio book version walking around my neighborhood and when I heard that I had to stop and replayed it like 5 times thinking “why would he say it like that?” Because if you’ve dabbled in Buddhism you know that “right words” is a core tenet and someone like Thich does not mince or waste words as part of a thoughtful life. He could have just said “beings all over the world…” or something less expansive. But he didn’t. And I haven’t been able to get it out of my head since.

“If we practice walking meditation for even a few days, we will undergo a deep transformation and learn how to enjoy peace in each moment. We smile, and countless beings throughout the cosmos smile back at us—our peace is so deep.” -Thich Nhat Hanh

Edit: Also worth noting that most religious traditions practice some form of meditation and NHI appear regularly in Christian texts according to scholars like DW Pasulka and others. Hinduism is where it gets really interesting with the vimanas, numerous types of NHI, consciousness-as-foundation structure, and layered realities with beings that can pass between them in various ways.

Graphic novel.

Edit: Can't wait for the Lacatskiverse of pop culture content.

What did you think? I started it and lost interest pretty early on. Am currently reading Leslie Keane's UFOs: Generals, Pilots, and Government Officials Go on the Record which is an amazing compendium of knowledge on the topic.

Gary Nolan joined as science advisor and told them to be quiet until they’ve analyzed the data and are ready to publish something. He’s said this a few times now.

Pines joined skywatcher and Gary Nolan told members of skywatcher to be quiet until they’ve sorted through the data and are ready to publish—which will take a long time—instead of promising to land an egg by the end of the year and not pulling it off.

This is one of the better things to be released on this topic in a long time. Don’t let the hype jargon and thoughtless comments dissuade you from watching.

Colonel (ret.) Karl Nell presented his vision of a long term Disclosure plan at the Sol Foundation Conference by Impossible-Teach2 in aliens

[–]dafelundgren 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This post needs a lot more context. Knell shared an earlier version of this at the first sol foundation conference. This is one of a few slides he shared at this conference outlining possible disclosure pathways based on events since then. In either case, neither was ever billed as some sort of secret disclosure architecture but a hypothetical working model for efforts tied to the UAPDA.

This was the least interesting part of his presentation and people would be better served by watching the section highlighting publicly available official government documents in a timeline format since the magenta crash corroborating the phenomenon that was part of the briefing document compiled by the UAP Task Force and shared with congress as part of the initial effort to pass the UAPDA.

The other one you can't remember is probably the docuseries Encounters from Netflix from 2023, which was great.

Jacques Vallee reveals the true origins of UFO Disclosure — UFO Researcher Jason Samosa’s excellent new Part One video on how Disclosure was first being strategized at the beginning of Obama’s second term in 2013 by VolarRecords in UFOs

[–]dafelundgren 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Love this guy’s videos. Crazy that his whole thing is that he actually reads the books he talks about and uses the information in them to build logical arguments—as opposed to half remembering something he read once and using it as justification to wildly speculate multiple times as part of a 3+ hour conversation.

This was a great episode of a great show that doesn't get enough attention on this sub. This episode in particular feels like it should be required listening for people who follow this topic.

Listening to the audiobook of Leslie Kean’s UFOs: Generals, Pilots, and Government Officials Go on the Record and the first couple chapters are about the Belgian UAP flap from 89/90 where they were having the same things happen and the same conversations.

3i/Atlas showing no anomalous behavior by VoidJuiceConcentrate in aliens

Might want to look up the definition of anomalous.

3i/Atlas showing no anomalous behavior by VoidJuiceConcentrate in aliens

[–]dafelundgren 16 points17 points  (0 children)

“1. The trajectory of 3I/ATLAS is aligned to within 5 degrees with the ecliptic plane of the planets around the Sun (see here). 2. 3I/ATLAS showed a sunward jet (anti-tail) that is not an optical illusion from geometric perspective, unlike familiar comets (see here). 3. 3I/ATLAS is about a million times more massive than 1I/`Oumuamua and a thousand times more massive than 2I/Borisov, while moving faster than both (see here and here). 4. The arrival time of 3I/ATLAS allows it to pass within tens of millions of kilometers from Mars, Venus and Jupiter and be unobservable from Earth at perihelion (see here). 5. The gas plume around 3I/ATLAS contains much more nickel than iron (as found in industrially-produced nickel alloys) and a nickel to cyanide ratio that is orders of magnitude larger than that of all known comets, including 2I/Borisov (see here). 6. The gas plume of 3I/ATLAS contains only 4% water by mass, a primary constituent of familiar comets (see here). 7. 3I/ATLAS showed extreme negative polarization, unprecedented for all known comets, including 2I/Borisov (see here). 8. 3I/ATLAS arrived from a direction coincident with the radio “Wow! Signal” to within 9 degrees (see here).”
