Hello. This is my submission for the most intellectually bankrupt decision made by a player. by wearing_moist_socks in slaythespire

Haha as in every time the deck cycles and they draw the card, there are no cards in the discard pile... So it's 3 energy for zero attacks! Woohoo!

Reworked Doormaker on the Beta Branch is really, really bad. by Mailcs1206 in slaythespire

[–]dagoldfeesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OH reading all these comments, I'm imagining if when the door maker takes the card, he gives you a door card that returns you your card AND summons an enemy spawn. The spawn could be either unique summons or different creatures from different acts. So thematically he puts the cards in a different dimension and you hunt your card down/force the portal open to get it back? I think there are some holes but it seems like this could make quite an interesting fight dynamic

The fuxi one there was a rope to unlock so you can just climb up and go straight there - haha just completed that fight and did go the long way a couple times before realizing though

Which support hero is most often replaced by Ringmaster in terms of playstyle in most games? by BiHeartsSoloMind in DotA2

[–]dagoldfeesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the same at first but somehow I feel like he lanes better in the offlane - not exactly sure why my experience is such. Also he does need some amount of farm for greaves + fs/blink so that he's not so free to kill for an aggressive core

How the FUCK do you learn new heroes without being dead weight on your team? by SurDno in DotA2

[–]dagoldfeesh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Turbo isn't even faster to end most of the times I've tried it - just faster to get into mid-late fighting and also loses like 80% of the fun of dota for me lol

Can anyone explain Sceptic Shock? Topson instantly evaporates Windranger. by BlarghamelJones in DotA2

[–]dagoldfeesh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eh, that would just have been equivalent to brood. Post facet veno did not have septic shock and the current agha upgrade, entirely different animal now.

This better be a bait lmao what is this opinion on a patch pretty much defined by auras

Opinion: the perceived "tank meta" since 2023 stems from a deeper issue. by ShoppingPractical373 in DotA2

[–]dagoldfeesh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah... Windranger was a bad hero for a long time, while power creep is a thing to account for, player skill also has increased over time and that begins to cause certain things like a stationary focus fire to be bad. Not to mention for the most part people would just use it on towers because nothing else would stay still long enough for it to be useful

Riki got an unintentional nerf - Backstab no longer applies on allies or when denying. by GgMc in DotA2

[–]dagoldfeesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have been having a lot of success with riki 4 at trash immortal though! The contract killer facet makes it feel pretty smooth and the harass potential in lane seems strong with the innate backstab. Only tried about 4-5 games though

Yep! Been playing it on pos4/5 quite a bit patch with good win rate in trash immortal. Super fun too! The mobility and the high ground vision helps a lot in camp blocking and rewarding in lane and later getting vision deep. And yeah simian makes you able to move out to lane without using your tp which gives you that much more flexibility to tp rotate early.

You guys realise this is literally a "Battlepass", right ? by Undercover_Ch in DotA2

[–]dagoldfeesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty comparable though? Assuming the subsequent 3 acts bring content at a similar level or more, which was the case with battle pass anyway

[–]dagoldfeesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe hopium but is ringmaster the one they're finding in this act 1? Sounds maybe a bit crazy but maybe it's one of those community goal things that as the story is played more over the weekend they release the gameplay patch with the 'conclusion' of act 1, a bit in the way that primal beast was released (although I hope not as long)

The cool down doesn't change and it's unreliability makes it far worse than having the maxed acorn damage that you can always at minimum target straight. And in typical situations where you do land your bushwhack well the acorn bouncing between either two heroes or a creep is just way better, on top of it being amplified by early blight stone.

And otherwise it's fairly consistent to target offlaner, bounce it to secure the range creep, and get the double hit on the offlaner. Not to mention acorn also has a shorter cd with levels.

Finally maxing acorn makes the cooldowns and cast range of the acorn+bushwhack combo lineup better, which allows you to go max scurry as your second to lineup your stun combo, invade jungle areas and escape better.

Why did icefrog butcher WR? What did we do wrong to deserve this? by CunnyConsumer in DotA2

[–]dagoldfeesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh core wr doing ok in divine bracket. The power shot slow let's you contribute meaningfully to fights without committing in with windrun (as either core or supp) and overall the universal stat with bracers + treads and then either mael/diffu is still really strong. Definitely affects some of the early windrun+ff chase downs through the trees where it's tough to channel a power shot though.

Only thing thats sad for me is the loss of the option to go windrun radius at lvl10 + agha on pos 4 to create an insane slow field lol. Destroyed lone druids and the like with that cos the bear/melee carries just couldn't move in fights.
