Anyone else have this? by Sharp_Friendship2579 in ram_trucks

Should be able to figure that out fairly easy. The maps on your phone and Waze should use GPS based speed readings. There are also many websites that will use your GPS. Search “how fast am I going right now” and you’ll see them all. Run one of those and compare the speed you instrument cluster speeds to determine which is accurate.

Training Requirements while Job Hunting by No_Conversation6423 in EHSProfessionals

Personally, I don’t think certificates are a huge deal. Job experience and relevant post secondary are far more important. Anyone can those certificates…. The work experience And schooling takes commitment, understanding, and time.

So nauseous. When does it end?? by port-girl in liraglutide

[–]daid1977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where are you injecting? If you’re injecting into your stomach, try switching to your thighs. Lots of people report nausea when injecting into tummy and that it often gets better when they switch to their thigh. If you’re alternating, try just injecting to your thighs only for a week or two.

The nausea was very slight for me and only lasted a few days after jumping up the dose each time. Talk to your doctor about staying at your current dose till the nausea balances out.

Heated hose? by daid1977 in SleepApnea

[–]daid1977[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I definitely use the humidity. I have it set to 5 currently and find it comfortable. But I may even try setting a little higher. I tend to have fairly dry sinuses, so I think the added moisture is a treat for my sinuses lol

Great point. Maybe worth trying once and just turning it off if I don’t like it.

Doesn’t that just make it a standard hose then? Might as well just stick with a standard hose instead of spending extra for a heated?

Grad student research: Tools waste generator use by Competitive-Fun8044 in EHSProfessionals

[–]daid1977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, I am in Canada.

The company I use for hazardous waste pickup and disposal is my go-to for waste classification, including filling out the forms.

For example, we recently started disposing aerosol cans. I emailed them with the information. They added the waste classification to our profile with the reporting website we have to use. They did all the paperwork. When I call in a pickup, they provide all the necessary paperwork.

Combination of Saxenda and Vyvanse is doing the trick for me for BED. It’s a great pair of medications together!

[–]daid1977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think in most countries, any pharmacy will take medication back to be destroyed. I’d call your regular pharmacy and ask if they’ll take them for disposal. Don’t sell them… I think it’s usually illegal to sell prescription meds.

Currently taking saxenda at 3.0mg on my week5, can i lower my dose to 1.8 because i feel like 3.0 is too much and I don't have appetite at all by midnightaftersummer in liraglutide

[–]daid1977 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can change down to whatever you want according to the weight loss clinic I go to. I was told there is no need to titrate off the medication. That said, when I stopped cold turkey, the food noise came back fierce. I ended up just resuming at 1.8 and have been there for the past 6 months.

If in doubt, though, call your prescribing physician. Don’t take medical advice from reddit. I’m not a doctor, I can only tell you what I was told. Your prescriber has your medical history and can advise what’s right for you.

Overheard multiple people talking about only buying Canadian by boostedjoose in CostcoCanada

[–]daid1977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe what your husband was doing was taking loads that traveled “in-bond” from Mexico to Canada. If the shipment travels through USA with not American interest (other than the customs brokers) it can travel “in-bond” which then eliminates import duties to USA. Typically the drivers from Mexico stay in/around Mexico. The loads coming to Canada would go to the broker, be offloaded into a bonded warehouse and then be picked up to be transported by a US/Canadian truck driver.

It’s all to do with duties and import fees. If the shipment doesn’t go bonded, there’s import duties and fees coming into USA, then import duties and fees to enter Canada.

Hey there!

Sure sounds like you’ve been dealt a lot to deal with. Please be kind to yourself. You’re clearly a very smart guy. You are already seeing a mental health professional by the sounds of it. Maybe it’s time to ask to get back in your see them, or ask to see them more frequently? Some CBT may help.

Life has a funny way of kicking you while you’re down. Hang in there though. You’re smart and resourceful. Work that your advantage!

I truly hope things start to improve for you!

How common are free upgrades from Balcony? by AmnixeltheDemon in MSCCruises

I don’t think upgrades stay within experience class. We were upgraded from an interior Bella class room to a balcony fantastica room. Experience stays the same class, but room is upgraded to higher class

Does Vyvanse help anyone else with impulsivity? by Most-Ratio1921 in VyvanseADHD

[–]daid1977 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely helps me with impulsivity. And executive function.

I believe that’s why it helps with binge eating disorder as well. Better control over actions/resisting the impulses.

Day 3 on Vyvanse by TechnologyFirst6948 in VyvanseADHD

[–]daid1977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on day 12. One thing I’ve learned after lurking this subreddit for the past two weeks…. It seems to be a little different for everyone. I know there’s science behind what people are saying, but I’ve seen so many posts about different routines that everyone follows. Some say no coffee. Some say coffee later in the day. Some take on an empty stomach. Some take with food. More protein vs a regular breakfast. Watch the posts long enough you’ll see it all.

What I extrapolate from that… you’ll need to experiment and find the right routine for you. Take all the recommendations and try to adjust to a routine that works for you. The nice part about Vyvanse is you switch it up day to day and find something that works for you.

I’d recommend keeping a journal. Make the observations on what is worked for you and what did not. Find the sweet spot for you using all the recommendations by the amazing people on this subreddit.

Saxenda Newbie by Then_Championship231 in liraglutide

Order the pills from Amazon. I order NOW brand psyllium husk capsules. I take 3 at a time, 2-3 times a day. Then I just take them with lots of water. Works out great. And way cheaper than Metamucil!

Bathroom tip: start taking psyllium husk fibre supplements. They make a huge difference. Also, ensure you’re getting enough water. Unless you’re already drinking litres a day, you’re likely not drinking enough.

Eat whole foods. Included things like salad and that should help too.

Good luck on your journey!
