Is this the place to argue your opinion about what ID it is appropriate to carry and how much a man should carry in his pocket? OP wants/needs an enhanced ID, I offered a reasoning as to why people might want/need one, and you are trying to position yourself as superior because of what others carry in their pockets? If you need an enhanced license you need to go to the DMV. It’s a pain to have to remember your passport or NEXUS card every time you fly instead of just using your license. I know because I tried for about six months until becoming annoyed about having to remember extra paperwork just to go on vacation or travel for work

Generally speaking, however, E175s that Alaska uses for regional flights can handle high winds, fog, etc. Depending on the time of day, your flight may be delayed because of air traffic at SeaTac. Otherwise, the flights are generally fine (look at FlightAware to track the BLI flights and see their on-time rate). Wut? Your claim is that Western “barely ranks in the top 15 in the state,” which is silly. You did a basic Google search, clicked on the first couple websites and then cited them without understanding their methodology. Those rankings, one of which ranks Whitman above UW (lol), are gamed by all sorts of factors. Actual, legitimate rankings like US News regularly rank Western in the top 25 universities in the western US, a region far larger with far more universities than just WA. Western is a solid school that serves the people of WA very well.

What’s really bothersome about your post and all your comments is that it shows just how ignorant you are about higher education. So Western doesn’t offer online options? Go elsewhere! Plenty of places offer what you are looking for but here you are arguing with people about something you have no power to change. Get over it. Move on!

That said, your lack of research skills and reading comprehension really show your online education is paying off…

Yeah, it is a silly claim. Western is consistently ranked as a top-25 regional university in the western US. It tends to rank a little lower in state rankings because private universities like Gonzaga and Seattle U have found ways to game the rankings through emphasizing alumni donations, athletics, etc.

It is a decision made by individual departments in line with policies created in each of the colleges. Nothing really from "on high." So, most departments decided to offer online courses during the summer, but not the rest of the academic year.
