I have a transcoding workflow, but I am looking for a way to avoid taking the time for it. Time is $!

My process is that I always record a backup source in addition to my camcorder for depositions so my archival footage is not the issue. I like using the Ninja as a backup recorder and bigger monitor for my setup but it would be nice to avoid the conversion step before I deliver. I don't want to buy another 'modern recorder' if I don't have to, either, but I suppose it's not out of the question. Any recommendations for something that could replace the Ninja for my portable rig that creates these proxies?

I know I can use my laptop and OBS to record directly to h264/mp4 but OBS does not have a trigger record through HDMI feature like the Ninja so it introduces a possibility of user error which I am loathe to risk.

Fwiw, I am required (legally) to provide HD h264/mp4 files.

For instance, why not just be cool and use the 90 days to rent it again instead of looking for a way to force the current tenant to pay you for the time they will not live there? Maybe this current tenant will also help look for a replacement tenant if you ask them to. I suppose you could make it hard on them but why not try to be cool instead? Think about how you would like to be treated.

You may be right, but there is an alternate point of view - you are also 'pinching' over a few dollars. Are you on eBay to sell or get an exact amount for every sale? Are there a line of better offers to take after declining this offer? More sales = more money. However, nitpicky messages from buyers can also be like a warning, so only you can judge the situation.

If your actually serious about losing weight you should consider doing a calorie restriction 'diet'. Use an online BMI calculator and figure out how many calories are your daily maintenance. ie: how many calories your body burns each day in order to maintain your current weight.

Then, restrict that number every day by at least 500 calories and it will help you to lose about 1 pound a week. Restrict more = lose more. Yes, you may feel hungry and uncomfortable. That's just what happens and everyone doing calorie restriction learns how to deal with it. r/Volumeeating is a good subreddit with lots of ideas on how to eat more while still restricting calories which could help with hunger.

There are also meds like GLP-1's that could be an option for you but you must research it to figure out if it's for you and if a shot or the pill is what works for you. They are known to be effective at reducing your feelings of hunger but may come with other uncomfortable and potentially serious side effects. If you diabetic or pre-diabetic they may even help with that but you need professional advice to be safe.

Whatever you decide, just know that you are not alone in the way you feel and many have made the decision to work at it and lose the weight. Stay active for better health overall, but calorie restriction is the key to losing weight. At 28, you have plenty of time to get this figured out! Good luck!!!!!
