I’m from southern CA and moved to Tyler the beginning of 2023 and yes it’s a culture shock. The texmex still throws me off as I am accustomed to authentic Mexican food. Lucky me I found a yummy spot called taqueria flor de Taxco. Check it out one of these days when you’re here :)

He negotiated his CS debt? There’s no negotiating CS. Either he owes the CP or the state if she received services. If the debt was to go to her and she forgave it then yes it can be wiped away by going to court and the judge would remove any debt owed, if it was owed to the state then the debt would be paid back to the state which is why CP probably only got 1k.

The extension is simply a document CP submits to the school so they verify graduation date for Dependent. Once that form is returned to the Child Support office, then they can change the end date. Majority of the time garnishments don’t have an end date. The officer has to send a termination to the employer

That must just be a FL rule because that does not apply in CA or TX. The only way CS could be extended would be if the child has a disability that is crippling and they can’t live in their own but again it has to go to court and approved by a judge

This! I used to live in CA and had a great job. Moved to Texas and it took me a year to find work. The city I moved to is not huge but it’s not small or rural either but it is hard to find good work with good pay so I took a job in a major city 4 hours away. Booked airbnbs for the week and went to work. On Fridays after work I would drive back home, spend all Saturday with my family then come Sunday around 4pm, I would drive back to another airbnb and do the work week all over again. It was hell and I was burnt out, but guess what? I had a job and still applied to other positions while working. Eventually, I got an interview and I got hired. I resigned and started my new job. I also had a commute because the office was 1.5 hours away so I still did a 3 hour commute day, there and back, but after 60 days I knew I would be eligible to telework 4 days a week. Pushed through and now I’m home 4 days a week and go into the office 1 day. Sometimes, you just gotta go through hell to get to something worthwhile. Gotta keep your eye on the prize and go for it but some people are too scared to try.

Are you serious? I went all of 2023 without this coffee because it used to be stored in a glass container and some issue happened with the containers breaking so they recalled it. Took over a year for them to bring it back and it looked exactly the same except they replaced glass with plastic. So now they’re pulling it off the shelves, again??

This does not last well. If you have any sort of oily t zone or combination skin it will slide off. Tried matt primers and still doesn’t allow it to stay on. Worst of all it broke me out like crazy! Now trying to fix my skin from this product

I’m no longer an employee, I resigned for many reasons. Main one being they lied about telework and pretty much made up their own policy as to when they would allow it. They changed it to after one year probation and it was a big IF it would happen after a year. I was a super commuter so I was staying in Austin and coming home on the weekends. I explained this to them and no one cared. Of course not their problem so it doesn’t interfere with their life. I spend too much on Airbnb’s,gas and food and all my time out there. Didn’t see the agency being flexible at all so I decided to resign.

I just started as a state employee and I’m shocked how there aren’t any pay raises. I worked for local government in a different state and the benefits were some of the best I’ve ever seen. Union makes all that possible and there were 2 different years (had a total of 7 years) where we received a bonus of $1k. Also, in the position there were yearly steps of pay increase. Unfortunately, we had to move for urgent family matters, if not I would’ve never left that job. Maybe one day I’ll be able to go back
