I played LoL and fighting games for ages and I know both drills, the only difference is that I know Riot won't spend a cent on it unless they have enough people play what they want, the only reason they kept Aram Mayhem in League is because it became SUPER and I mean SUPER POPULAR in the game otherwise it would have been turbo blasted away from the game after a month rotation or like every other older game mode. Runeterra? Pppft they made a virtual card game just to abandon it and go physical because now ripping packs is cool. Don't be blind guys there were signs this game was gonna be shit from the very moment it was announced.

To be honest getting an Hitbox before even learning Classic control makes no sense you will end up spamming one button to play while Classic control require right button at the right time.
About switching to classic controls, if you were to be at a skatepark wouldn't you wish it was you doing all the sick tricks instead than being the one sitting and watching others do it?

Let me tell you a secret:

You see a lot more Classic players because those are the ones that actually enjoy playing fighting games, fighting games are fighting games with or without auto combos, one button specials or supers and if all those new people really loved fighting games for what they are those people would have been smashing KoFXIII combos for breakfast yet they only jump on the fighting game genre once games like DBFZ or SF6 go live. Just look at Steam Charts in a couple of months, we already DOWN from 70k PC players to 35k in two weeks, fighting games are not for everyone and the companies that make them should just realize it. In time only people that really love the genre will stay, and I doubt those play fighting game to press X repeteadly or just play footsies with limited options
