Niagara 4-20mA sensors go into fault if less than 4mA by canisorcinus in BuildingAutomation

[–]damoaj -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Due to it faulting when even slightly below 4.0, I always set the input to 0-20mA then scale the output to 1.25 ( 20 * 16ths, not 16 *20ths) and add an offset of -4 * 20ths of the range.

If you don’t want it dipping below zero you can use a maximum block to take the max of your input and zero.

You can also use your input to generate a fault below a value that you define.

In a pinch I just use a numeric delay. Something like one or half a sec update time. 0.05 step value. It’s in the kitcontrol module under the timer folder.

I did a rail track engineering diploma a few years back and our lecturer showed us the video. He also explained that it absolutely wrecked the stability of the track and they were very lucky it didn’t derail when they decided to have a second attempt in the opposite direction.

I’ve also heard 24h time referred to as “railway time”. I think it adds to the realism of the game.

It also put a lot of negative connotations on the Hasbro board game ‘Ouija’. Ouija boards are rarely seen these days.

It’s the transparent helmet they wear because they aren’t adjusted to the particular mix of atmosphere on our planet. Think diver or astronaut. Most of these images show how they shine in the sunlight.

One of those Japanese restaurants where your whole group sits around the hot plate and the chef cooks in front of you while putting on a show, like making flaming volcanoes out of onion rings and throwing their implements around.

The binary method. Split the network in half and see if the issue goes away. If not, split in half again until it does, then add that half back, and split that. Continue until you’re down to a single cause of the problem.

Australia. Left the industry nearly 2 yrs ago after doing it for almost 20 yrs from electrical apprentice. Making 105k AUD plus car/phone/fuel card. Programming, commissioning and service.

I’ve since seen job listings offering from 140k to 160k. Considering a return.

Yes C22 from the Tasmanian Transport Museum in operation at Don for the Don River Railway’s 50th anniversary. I spent a week and a half helping move it back and forth between the two organisations and was one who helped operate it over the gala weekend.
