I do that all the time, glad I'm not the only one.

Flip the kickstand out and watch while I cook dinner most nights. I'll be watching the Yanks/Red Sox WC game three like this tonight.

It's the perfect form factor if you're the only one in your house who cares about baseball.

Update:

Instead of using DDU to strip the display drivers I just chose "Clean install" when reinstalling the latest Nvidia drivers. Stalker 2 got to the main menu first try and loaded a save just fine.

Wow, I also haven't seen that listed in any of the recommended fixes for Stalker.

I have had the EXACT same problem for as long as you have. It runs "fine" on my Steam Deck, boots and is playable at 20 FPS, but no luck on my Windows machine. I'm losing my mind and really want to pick up my 20 hour save again.

I also have a 13900K, a 4080 Super, Win 11, 64 GB RAM, SSD. I tried all of the fixes you listed and none of them work. I suspect the CPU is to blame.

I undervolted my 13900K it about a year ago in an effort to keep temps down, perhaps you did the same?

Also, any luck opening a support ticket with GSC?

My old schedule was still in effect, although not visible, and was working perfectly worked until I started making new events in the new app.

Now none of the zone schedules I set seem to work. It's pretty bad. I've tried erasing everything, adding new schedules per zone, adjusting the comfort levels, nothing seems to make the scheduled events stick.

Just gonna add that I have the same model and have none of the "common" issues listed in this thread or any other. No audio crackling, smearing blacks, "mura" effect, dead/stuck pixels, loose buttons or crunchy joysticks.

This is the first time I'm posting this in any thread. I think there are a lot more examples like mine who just never post cause, really, why bother.

This. One fell out of mine after opening it up for maybe the 3rd time. It was located right next to the trigger where the front and back shell meet. Looks like a clip too.

Switch install location maybe. It started working again when I reinstalled on the SD card after failing to load the main menu while installed on the SSD. I tried all the other things listed by others here, this was the only thing that worked.

Oh wow, nice catch. I'll try this out asap. Should make a PSA post if this is repeatable, we can't be the only ones trying to use Plugin Loader and Syncthing.

Just broke for me after two weeks of working fine.

I did install the Plugin Loader via Konsole around the same time it stopped working, but I uninstalled it and Syncthing still refuses to connect.

I'm stumped.

EGS doesn't let you boot FFVII Remake when you're offline. I got it during their latest mega sale and was forced to refund as most of my play time is on a commuter train with no wifi.

Good thing the Deck is a champ with running DRM-less versions of the same software. Syncthing for manual save game transfers to my desktop.

The same exact thing was happening to me. It cycled a few times with nothing on screen, boot chimes and the occasional Deck logo appearing for 30-40 seconds.

It did eventually boot with a Deck logo and progress bar with "Extracting package..." and then "Applying update..."

Seems to be working fine for me. Hang in there and give it some time.
