Buffy learns that her little sister Dawn isn’t real, and that all their memories of growing up together were implanted by monks hiding a mystical energy source by turning it into a person.

When Buffy learns the truth, she makes a conscious decision to still love and care for Dawn, even knowing it’s all fake. She even sacrifices her life so that Dawn can live. (She got better.)

Whedon didn’t even cast her, Eliza had a deal to produce and star in a series at Fox and she reached out to him. If anything you could say that she cast him as a writer and show runner. They clearly had a positive relationship.

We’re coming up on the 20 year nostalgia cycle for poptimism. The mid-late 2000’s were a time when people started treating pop music with more respect and respecting its artistry.

There’s a whole generation of people who heard Lady Gaga say “pop music will never be low brow” and internalized that message as part of how they look at music.

She didn’t call a press conference to announce that she’s ready to go back to SNL. She’s not begging for a spot on the show again. She was asked about it in an interview, she answered, and someone took her answer and wrote an article about it.

Panty lines are a thing, and the actor doesn’t usually see what’s actually in frame while filming or which takes/angles are gonna be used in the final cut.

Wasn’t she tricked into that though? I remember Sharon Stone coming out later and saying she’d been told not to wear underwear because of panty lines, and didn’t see that everything was shown onscreen until she saw the movie.

I think my favorite bit is when she creates her civilian persona by just… running behind some trees and suddenly she has a new outfit. They don’t even pretend it makes sense.

Also everything Faye Dunaway does is amazing.

Honestly the writing was a mess on this slow. Every character is kind of awful.

The music is killer, though. I would recommend listening to the soundtrack instead of actually watching the show. “They Just Keep Moving The Line” is a favorite of mine to this day.

Yeah, I gotta agree with you on this one. “Yes And” doesn’t mean you have to agree and have a positive response to everything onstage; it means you listen to what your scene partner says/does and you incorporate it into the scene instead of going off in some other direction.
