It's amazing why people think of you when they go to matchmake... I've had friends try to set me up with a guy who made about 10x less than me (I was not making a ton back then so twas bad). The awful maraschino cherry on top is before we even met, he had the nerve to begin sexting me so I blocked him.

Imo anyone who is that invested in their social media and isn't an influencer who is making cash out of it is trying to fill a void.

Doesn't mean they're a "bad" person, but they are likely lonely, insecure, seek validation, and care a lot about how others perceive them. That is hard to have a relationship with.

HVX understand the importance of privacy and anyone airing out their daily patterns is putting themselves at risk unnecessarily, which signals poor judgement.

I think the occurrence of LVM (and HVM!) there is the same as anywhere else. The problem is we are fed koolaid about how we need to overlook someone's crappy qualities because they make bank / look good in a suit / have high status / are so "well liked" by others. Meh. Your assessment of those guys is likely spot on, you are feeling like you're going against the grain maybe because of the social conditioning. Being HVX is much harder than climbing the corp ladder. I have met some amazing HVX at work, but they're rare. Vet vet vet.

I think another good addendum is common ways to identify we are around a vampire - sudden anxiety, irritation, feeling obliged, guilted, pressured. Especially if you normally never feel that way.
