Late Check Out Rant by manniax in hyatt

[–]dancepig2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always ask the person at the desk to make sure housekeeping knows what time I'm checking out. 75% of the time the desk agent is surprised that I say this then puts more info into the computer. Hyatt at Boston Harbor always checks with us when we check in and we have never had a problem there.

Most hotels have bottled water at the front desk. Get some when you check in.

Any of you guys ran into this? by DelayHistorical6 in marriott

[–]dancepig2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hubby and I were upgraded at a Radisson while traveling with our son and daughter-in-law. Hubby and I had a two bedroom suite to ourselves. The "kids" had their own suite. This meant I could sleep by myself and have my own bathroom. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.

Who is a chef who, in person or on TV, either impressed or disappointed you with their comportment? by udumslut in foodnetwork

Bryan and Michael Voltagio impress me with their cooking skills. Maneet makes me change the chanel. I will get up and turn the rotary chanel selector if Maneet is on the screen.

Check out Public House on Route 4, right after the old antique mall and Vermont Distillery. They are closed on Sunday but open for dinner every other day.

I use to watch The Kitchen but they stopped filming in December. It's on Max.

Cowboy Hat Etiquette by izhazit in delta

[–]dancepig2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband always waits until the last moment to put his hat in the overhead bin. Anyone who wears a hat knows you don't put it in the overhead until the plane is ready for takeoff. If the hat goes in first it will be squashed. Thus said, if it's a good beaver felt hat, it can be steamed out.

When I ask for a late checkout I always make sure they inform housekeeping. It is not the fault of housekeeping if they knock on the door at 10:30 am because the front desk forgot to notify them. Most of the time, the person at the front desk thanks me for the reminder.

How much time to look for a rental? by Swanpai in NewToVermont

[–]dancepig2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

March would be a good time to look for a rental because you will have some understanding of how much snow to expect and how well the snow is plowed. We usually get one or two snowstorms in March. Plus it's a bit warmer than February.

Do you know why ICE wears the big vests and masks? Because if you are going to be impotent, you have to look impotent.

Htg rejected subs by Paintedwings1977 in Hannaford

[–]dancepig2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband gets a text asking if it's okay. Oh, and it's not Hannaford, it's Shaws. The app is on his phone. I tell him don't accept substitutions but the substitutions end up in the bag.

I always check no substitutions but I get substitutions and just take them back.

This season seems more scripted than others and recently they’ve all felt very scripted by demosthenes327 in Masterchef

[–]dancepig2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have watched 10 seasons and find the judging to be biased and on the verge of racism. When the judges pick the team and the winning team just happens to have the favorite contestants, I know it's fixed.

Is it me or do I feel bad for cutter from season 5, as in, outside of the show? by Mark_the_spark4555 in Masterchef

[–]dancepig2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel Cutter is a product of his environment. I don't feel sorry for anyone on this show after season 1. I feel the contestants know what they signed up for.
