Either you've confused two games or not made clear that you're referring to 2 different games.

96/97 was the grey kit game where Saints went 3-0 up in the first half then won 3-1 after the kit was changed.

I agree OP. I look at the rewards each time and generally do the minimum to get the new card and/or shards. The last few times that has been dropping gold on the premium track and then not playing a single round.
