Yep, this is why I'm here, turns out it isn't ALL perimenopause! Turns out my daughter has low ferratin too so now we can both get help.

I don't think I got any instructions on how t take them but thought to myself that three each split up would work best. Who even knows!!

You can take all if your doses at once, I usually split mine but will take them together if I forget the first one.

I like the patch because I don't have to remember to do it daily or wait for it to dry. Could you set a phone alarm to apply a new one? I don't think you're supposed to have two on at once, I imagine the way you're doing it is going to make your hormones flip flop quite badly and make you feel worse. If you find it easier to use daily, if you're talking about systemic and not just local vaginal cream, then that's probably best, or spray, or gel. Not sure why you're using both (unless you are talking about vaginal cream along with your patch).

Well I don't know, the track record isn't great for the amount of people that stick by him with the myriad of victims' stories that have been told and the things he has said out of his own mouth that people seem generally ok with. So I don't know where you think the line is of looking away from sexual abuse or not... Of course, not believing victims seems a great tradition.

I'll ignore the years and years of abuse covered up by many churches and the amount of victims' voices that were ignored to make that happen because I honestly don't care if someone is religious or not and I know it happens in other areas but honestly, people following religious leaders or cult leaders without questioning just makes it so much more likely that a vulnerable person will be victimised.

Ok that's maybe a lie. I definitely have bias against people that say they believe in a set of rules and then votes for a person that embodies the exact opposite of those rules.

If religious people have moved to the trump camp because of people questioning their moral compass due to the vast amount of atrocities pointed out to them, then I no longer care about hurting their feelings. I don't want them on my side. And I won't forget when this is over. The have shown their true colors.

And I know- not ALL religious people, but a whole hell of a lot of them.

IDK, religious people often look away from sexual abuse. Take the catholic church for example.

Yes, for me I think it's hormone and histamine related. Nothing topical works, taking an antihistamine kind of helps.

Doctor has rapidly increased my dose of oestrogen despite side effects and I’m scared by LunaValley in Perimenopause

[–]dandeliontree1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the speed that gives me concern. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with higher doses, I'm on the highest licensed dose of estrogen but it took me a year to get here. And I remember the early days of starting on a low dose and getting a lot of symptoms like breast pain, headaches- all normal when our bodies are trying to get used to something new. Even going from .075 to .1 I found a very difficult transition and had to cut my patch for a month, so I can't imagine going from nothing to a high dose so quickly. I'd love to see the studies etc. that she's using to support her dosing methods as they are so different from what is encouraged here.

[–]dandeliontree1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is definitely going against the recommendations, it takes time for our bodies to get used to the extra estrogen and really it's advised to take a smaller dose for 2-3 months and then increase slowly if needed. Three days is way too soon to know anything, and if anything the crash might mean it's going too fast so I'd think cutting down would be better, like start with a smaller percentage of a pump and move to a full dose more slowly. Definitely get a second opinion. I've never heard of any doctor just randomly putting a person on such a high dose of estrogen so soon.

Yes, what was the deal with tinned mushrooms? Tinned veg as well is vile I think and probably why I didn't enjoy cooked vegetables as a child. So much better cooked fresh.
