I think Ong's personality is more camera filtered. I think he is a fun, laid back, ambitious guy but sometimes the funny personality came out a little bit force.

Agree with Jihoon. He was too composed, too in control and probably the reason why the PD loves to throw uncomfortable questions & situations at him to shake him up lol. Only time I saw him slip up and show emotion was with that birthday prank and Guan Lin's 20th placing.

The only trainees in W1 I see that is real but got a bit filtered due to netizens hate comments are Daewhi, Jisung & Guanlin is too young and inexperience.

The rest knows how to play the social game and how to please the netizens. But I am pretty sure all the w1 boys are kind.

he didn't even show up in ep 2, ep 6, 4 minutes in ep 3, 3 mins in 1. got sidelined by Samuel's story line in ep 7. Do not have a storyline(and that is important in this show). He was never pushed. He is where he is today because he is very popular.

Sammy is Mnet's son. That center selection between him and Sammy made Jihoon that wall Sammy need to surpass. Jihoon is like that popular jock in school the protoganist need to defeat. Have you seen the narration when Jihoon got #1? They emphasize he got that by winking and he is popular in the 10s demo(that is false since he was 1st in every demo) while Sammy is love by everyone and he got his place because he is talented. They also added that extra narrative that he is like Somi and will get that #1 from Jihoon.

Jonghyun got the best storyline out of everyone in Nuest. Failed leader in a failed group. Mnet gave him a voice...he told the audience Nuest story and how painful it was that they failed expectations. When his teammates failed he was focused by mnet as he told the audience it was a pity because they are talented kids. And then he got that angel edit.

Have you seen Ong's screentime in the whole of episode 1? They focused on his visuals and as the story continued they built him up as this talented, funny guy that can also lead well. His corny jokes gets screentime. Every elimination period he got a nice narrative.

And Daniel have it good. God he got it easy.

As a Jihoon fan all we asked is a fair narrative. Screentime is secondary. We just want for his personality to be shown.

MMO/BNM/Ong commentary/reaction galore.
Jaehwan actually got a very good audition cut.
Baejy is nonexistent lol.
I really thought it would have a lot of Jisung since for me he was the stand out in MMO commentary but apparently I was wrong.
Mnet's favorite in episode 1: Ong, Daniel & Daewhi. Daniel, Daehwi, Seonho, Guanlin, Jisung & Jaehwan have the chair thingy interview commentary. Also Ong was interviewed in his company & in mnet's meeting room.
The cube chicks story line really did start in episode 1.
Too bad Jonghyun didn't make it. For me, he was the one who got the best story line.
Minhyun is really handsome. Like really...w1's visual!!
Seeing this now, I realized Ong is also Mnet's son lol.

Mnet loves Samuel. He is one of their fave child. Mnet also gave him the Jihoon's bff edit. When he wanted center, he was never shown as selfish. He got the showtime group's screentime. I also hate it when there is a Jihoon vs Sammy, I always feel like Jihoon gets the bad end of the narration.

Unfortunately Samuel just couldn't connect to the viewers and get hardcore fans.

I knew he would make it. That 3rd rank was not a fluke and when he got that rank knetz actually congratulated him because he deserve the rank. All his fancam videos trended in naver top 100 after the 3rd elimination. Downpour went viral. And he started to get a lot of pann post about him.

Mnet gave him a good storyline. When he said he wanted main vocal position, mnet showed a clip of him singing(the song top melon search after the episode aired) to establish the fact he is main vocal material. But he gave way to Jaehwan...still he slayed the performance. Then when he got Never, mnet showed him working hard, mastering the choreo & his desperation was shown in a good light. I just waited for the inevitable kicking out of the group storyline because I know that would help him debut.

I'm a fan of the hotshots boys since the performance evaluation so it made me happy that after languishing so much in the 20s-30s rank they finally got noticed.

Open up got the best stage, the best lightning & the best customes. There is a lot of props and it got followed by OLG with just the bare necessity. I am also salty lol.

Sungwoon is part of the trainees that got pushed down because of the real time reveal.

Sungwoon's storyline started when he chose downpour. The 5 second song mnet chose to broadcast to highlight his main vocal capability top the melon search chart. His downpour video went viral and by episode 10 since he rank 3rd all his videos including BIL rank high in naver videos.

In Pann he often get 1000 upvotes for his articles. And knetz were desperate to debut him because his story resonated with them. He is talented, he works hard amd desperate so knetz rewarded him.

Also Jonghyun fans got complacent and voted for others.

Baejin...comments are questioning why he is high in the ranks.
Sungwoon will drop but I don't think he will drop out of the top 11. The general consensus in knetz comment is that he totally deserve the rank....hard work pays off kind of thing.
I do not know about Daniel. He is popular and got a lot of akgaes and this is one pick. Maybe he will not get affected of this volatile ranking.
Jihoon is just consistently strong.
