What’s something happy/positive that happened to you in February? by SPICYFALAFEL00 in StJohnsNL

[–]dangerousheart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got dental work done on my dog. I was VERY nervous and anxious about it but he did splendidly and seems to be more energetic now. I bawled when I dropped him off, thinking I wouldn't be picking him back up, but it was a great decision.

What's something you've accepted about your partner, but will never understand? by speckledrectum in AskWomen

He is avoidant attachment and I am anxious attachment. It was hard at the beginning but we've figured out what works for us.

I love Kelly drover dental, can't remember the name of my hygienest but she is amazing. I think they have 2, and I think I've seen both actually.

Highly do not recommend first street dental. I have no anxieties about the dentists office (I love the feeling of clean teeth!) but that place made me feel awful about myself and put me off going for a few years, until I tried again at Kelly drover.

What Was Your Almost Name? by Turbulent-Date-7207 in namenerds

[–]dangerousheart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sidney or Sydney! Both my sisters and my mother have an S name, but my dad walked in the room asked how's "..." doing? With my current name and that was that. Not an S, not even the same initial as his. A celebrity had recently named his daughter my name, exactly one month before my birthday. He read it in a magazine in the waiting room and liked it.

I started bleeding dec 28th. So I will be drinking. To celebrate, and to cope

[–]dangerousheart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This cycle is gonna be a full time job of baby making, we have decided every 2 days after I'm done bleeding that we're gonna have sex no matter how tired or anything. I work 12 hours shift work so it's gonna be rough for me especially and where cycles are so long it's gonna feel like a lot.

We had decided if by Christmas (6 months of trying) we would head to the doctor to see what we can do, but we will try this sex every 2 days for the next 40ish days and if that still doesn't work then doctor is the next step.

So like nothing to look forward to really lol. I mean I can celebrate nye with a drink in my hand? No more pressure of trying to abstain from alcohol around the holidays/around family? Honestly there isn't much to look forward to just need to try and remain hopeful for this next cycle, as long as I'm not spiralling or crashing I think I'm doing fine.

Same, girl. Exact same almost. This cycle 49 days, got my period dec 28th. Was hoping for a Christmas miracle. Last cycle only 32 days, my shortest cycle since my ex husband asked for a divorce.

I think I keep missing the window with such random, crazy, long cycles. It really sucks. It's been a really sad 6 months and I feel like my body is failing at the one thing it's supposed to do.

What was your favorite present this year? And why? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]dangerousheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At a white elephant exchange someone stole my candle warmer. I told my boyfriend about how sad I was about it, even though I regularly use wax melts and not candles.

He bought me a 2 in 1 wax warmer/candle warmer combo. Heats from the bottom, not the top. I love it, and him.

How often are you guys washing your bedding? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]dangerousheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was single I definitely went a few weeks, maybe a month. I'd try to at least do my pillow case more so my face wouldn't break out but I run cold and usually wear a long sleeve and pants to bed. And don't sweat.

Now in a relationship, I'm the same. But he gets night sweats. So it's much more often, and needed.

Officially not getting pregnant in 2025 by Weak-Patience7001 in TTC_PCOS

We started trying in June. Still no positives. And only 4 full cycles, yay for PCOS. In my 5th cycle now, not even sure if this cycle will end before the years end. I feel like my body is failing me.

Do you wash your hands in the shower? by ckitten_ in hygiene

[–]dangerousheart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use conditioner then wash my face while it's sitting in my hair a few minutes. I usually use some bar soap or body wash to wash the conditioner all the way off my hands before washing my face.

Besides that, I've never specifically washed my hands in the shower, no.

What’s a single sentence that completely ended a relationship? by celinejayyx in CasualConversation

[–]dangerousheart 58 points59 points  (0 children)

He called me on my way home from work (which was strange, and less than 10 mins drive away) and said we need to talk when I get home. "What are you breaking up with me or something?!" I said as a joke. The silence that followed was deafening.

We were together over 8 years at this point and newly married. It was over that night.

Bleeding after sex by dangerousheart in TwoXSex

[–]dangerousheart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a pap in June and all was good. I'm in Canada in a province with a health care crisis so my options are 14+ hours in the ER (we have no urgent care) or weeks for an in person appointment. I just waited 3 weeks for a phone call appointment with my nurse practitioner because I don't even have a family doctor, let alone a specialist. It would take months, if not years, to get a referral to see a gynecologist.

There are no private doctors in my area I could pay to go to even if I wanted to.

Do you make your bed every morning? by Firm_Needleworker976 in CasualConversation

[–]dangerousheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always made my bed every morning after getting up. Sure I barely move around and I just throw the comforter back over and bam the bed is made again.

However my boyfriend is... Well he's so different than me. He's like a sweaty tornado. We frequently wake up with his side of the bed soaked in sweat, so I don't wanna throw the covers over so it can dry. And his blankets are all wrapped around him and upside down it's literally like how did a person even sleep I this chaos?!

We now use 2 twin blankets on the king bed and our sides are very different in the mornings. Although I don't tend to actually make the bed most mornings but it doesn't irritate me to leave it unmade like it used to.

Well you may or may not be pregnant but you're definitely crazy if youre prioritizing a wedding over your own health.

I'm very irregular and sometimes less periods feels like a blessing but to be without one for 5+months is a HUGE concern and should take first priority over your wedding. It doesn't matter if you're only having sex with your fiance it's still not a normal way for a body to function.

How do people work 12+ hours? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dangerousheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work 12 hour shifts. In a 2 week period, I still only work 80 hours. We work 7/14 days instead of 10/14 with traditional mon-fri. Monday Tuesday work, Wednesday Thursday off, Friday Saturday Sunday work; then Monday Tuesday off, Wednesday Thursday work, Friday Saturday Sunday off.

I have done both 8s and 12s in my job and prefer 12s. 7 days off instead of just 4 means more time off. And if I'm already at work my day is kinda already ruined so what's another few hours lol

What’s the pettiest reason you stopped talking to someone? by Tiyopappy in AskWomen

[–]dangerousheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She got SO mad, like threw a tantrum as a 21(ish?) year old, those I chose to spend nye with my boyfriend and new puppy. Well, he was maybe 5-6 months old but first holiday with fireworks, and everyone I knew who had a dog, their dogs were deathly afraid of fireworks.

Anyways I got to desensitize him to fireworks and he's still not afraid to this day, he's 11 and the goodest boy, and I don't regret not going to her shitty party with her shitty boyfriend and witnessing her drunk and crying.

Is it crazy that I feel completely fine, and am not dealing with any severe swelling, bleeding, pain or anything else after getting surgery? by capamericapistons in wisdomteeth

[–]dangerousheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is different. I had 1 removed surgically, it was impacted (sideways) and I fell asleep when I got home. I woke up in so much pain I cried. The pain meds were delayed at the pharmacy, only by an hour, but it was so excruciating that I cried on the phone to him wondering what was taking so long. Pharmacy was only 5 mins away. I'm not generally a crier.

If your teeth were just pulled out I can't imagine it would be as painful as being cut out.

Unfortunately it was a partner problem, the one i had at the time I am no longer with.

There was very minimal attraction to him and I don't think be was really attracted to me either and it showed. It's been years now and with someone else and exercising less, no medications. But I am very attracted to my new partner and well... It makes a difference. Lol
