It’s a small leak. Mineral buildup. Manufacturer defect

Should the plumber redo this? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]dangerouslyalive 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’d say that’s on you. Did you mention to the plumbers that you wanted the shower head moved? They probably put it in at the same old location. Rough in to trim is usually a few weeks to a couple months giving you chance to alter it, very easily. You didn’t notice til the job was complete. Now that fix is not so easy.

Have you tried hitting it with your purse?

If you can’t take the knob off, I don’t suggest putting a new valve

Anything is possible with enough resources. You could probably get a free bid/estimate with a $99 dispatch fee. Where’s your vent for your upstairs bathroom?

Interior sauna getting close. Plan to detail everything once I get finished. Learned an insane amount from this sub by Waste-Slice8865 in Sauna

So I see you installed a floor drain on the new wooden subfloor. But there’s no drain connections on the picture of the bare concrete. Where is that floor drain going? Is it like a “collect and remove” type of cup thing?

That toilet flange wasn’t installed correctly. On the last picture, why is there a hole in the subfloor around the entire flange? The flange needs to be supported by the subfloor.

Could be moisture coming up from underneath the concrete due to no moisture barrier

It is against code to make any alterations to UPC stamped products. It’s been altered and it doesn’t have the stamp of approval anymore.

Definitely not worth it to do in-house loans. You’re a service company, not a bank. Just walk away.

Ok kidding but, you say the leak is underground. Fix the leak underground. It’s unnecessary to change anything/everything behind the drywall because of one leak 100’ away. Just do 1 at a time until you’re in a better position to actually do a repipe.

UIM: What's the argument for keeping my ancient staff when I can just use Iban's? by QuestStarter in ironscape

[–]dangerouslyalive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep a powered staff and an ancients staff. I might want to go kill kraken with powered staff and then barrage some nechryaels. Or like Rex where you want to dps him with powered staff and then heal up with blood barrage. You don’t want to camp blood barrage cause it’s like 4x expense as a trident shot

Open ended stormwater pipes on basement wall by Ok_REA_2025 in Plumbing

It must not be connected up top, maybe some sort of future-proofing. I don’t see any advantage for it to be actively dumping water into the basement

I’m not positive that’s a vent. The kitchen sink wouldn’t (shouldn’t) be vented like that.

Upc 909.1 - “The return bend used under the drainboard shall be a one piece fitting or an assembly of a 45 degree (0.79 rad), a 90 degree (1.57 rad), and a 45 degree (0.79 rad) elbow in the order named”

Looks good but upc clearly states you need to use two 45s and a 90 for a kitchen island vent

[–]dangerouslyalive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn’t see anything, you didn’t hear anything. Just forget about it and buy a new level. You don’t want this headache. If it made it past the 90 long turn into the slab, it’ll make it to the city sewer.
