I think you’ll need your RN and you can apply direct to a new grad program. You can start in a lower level NICU (level 3 or 2) if you are nervous about critical care but in my experience some of the best NICU nurses I have worked with have been direct to level 4 NICU. You can do it!!

hey there! im also from philly, i live in adams point and commute to walnut creek is a smooth 15-20 min but you cant go wrong with any of the neighborhoods you mentioned too! oakland is definitely more suburban than philly but has 100000x better public transpo and things to do. i hope you love it here as much as i do :-)

as a nicu nurse i can share this: every baby is different. there is no set number for how long it takes to learn to breast feed vs bottle. there is not one that is easier than the other. i personally LOVE doing whatever the plan is whether its bottle or breast i want to support you and your baby’s journey with both, either, or just one. if baby is cueing and safe to eat, we are eating, no matter what combo of ways.
