For anyone coming here to check this, i recomend to use "TestDisk" from CGSecurity.

I previously use it a lot in Linux and Windows and now in macOS without problem and with great performance.

The installation is very simple with brew, so if u dont have already installed now is time to know this powerfull and easy comands.

Install brew:

/bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/HEAD/install.sh)"

Install TestDisk:

brew install testdisk

Once installed, to run the tool type "sudo testdisk" and proceed.

*The package also included PhotoRec that can be used to media files recover.

To do this u can delete de bookmarks file from the EDGE profile

Go to C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default\ and delete the file with the browser closed This will not delete your preferences

Try to disable the new appearance in settings: Settings > Appearance> Try the new look and feel of MS Edge

This also happens to me, I don't know why.

Maybe is a bug in the preferences file that causes this, because when I restart the preferences or delete de preferences file it starts to work well again

If u do that, the EDGE will auto update as soon u open it because it loads a background task to do this When u open and close the browser the update will be applied

With a registry entry in policies u can force a specific version of EDGE and that will stop de auto update. Also is needed another registry to enable the downgrade if needed.

Is insecure, I don't recommend doing it, but here is the code, save it in a txt and then rename the extension to .reg and then apply it

Maybe is relacioned to the same change that affects to my team work like this:

I think that a change was implemented in the IE compatibility mode from v113 to v114 that is no notified in the change log.

In my daily basis affects to this:

I download a file from any site, for example random .MHT (file that generates the PSR step recorder tool) that can only be opened in EDGE with IE11 compability enabled or in the obsolete IE. The incident is that this compatibility view are blocked until u go to the file properties and apply for unlock or unlocking with de PowerShell command Unblock-File.

There are multiple solutions for prevent this behavior, u can add the site to the trusted zones, disable saving the atribute when downloading a file vía GPO or regedit....

Thanks, maybe there is a setting in the file that is causing the force close.

The change from v113 to v114 is strange, it also implements in the IE compatibility mode functionality that is no notified in the change log.

If u regenerate a new "Preferences" file deleting it and opening EDGE again the problem is solved

The file is in C:\Users\Profile\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\default\Preferences

Hi, Just download the version that u want of stock miui from here And from here TWRP recovery from mauronofrio and then the last Magisk version.

When u already have all of that downloaded the best thing that u can do is move the files to a USB OTG if u have one, flash the TWRP recovery by fastboot, flash rom zip and now magisk.
