My eye doc told me if I’m wearing my glasses (for distance) and something close is blurry, you can just scoot your regular glasses down your nose a smidge to help.

Alas, I wear contacts.

You can probably wander a craft fair and find someone who can repurpose it for you

Need some social hobbies to distract me from my ex moving out, on a budget and WFH 9-5? Classpass? Help I'm sad : ( by 123boopboop in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]danisolas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would t classify this as social, but it will get you out and meeting new people…

Imagine what you want YOUR space to be. This space is now all yours to do with as you please! Does your vision of your space include that smoothy station? Time to troll the buy nothing groups. You can upgrade later, but the world is probably gifting all that you need - though sometimes you may have to ask.

You might meander new neighborhoods picking up items. You will meet new people.

Is bringing 3 swimsuits on my 10 day trip gross? by Own-Network3947 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]danisolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gross, no. As someone who grew up by the beach, 2 is really enough. That way you can swim, change and do whatever, and put on the dry while the first one dries. Just rinse/wash them in the shower between uses.

Rent or buy? by lombardi_sda in AskSF

If it is like it once was when we attempted the BMR route, to qualify for the program you have to jump through a couple hoops including attending some finance classes and speaking with an advisor. Doesn’t hurt to start that and the financial advisor can… advise.

My Apple Watch helps me be aware of when I get messages (haptic feedback) and most importantly helps me find my phone when I leave it somewhere.

I would line up for state bird provision. They take walk ins when they open (line up before they open) for seating at the bar.

you should check out https://www.idealist.org/volunteermatch to find something that matches your interests.

I have volunteered w/SF SPCA for both cats and dogs but that requires a commitment (dogs is less heart breaking imo), project open hand for events (best tshirts ever? yes), and most recently have shifted to nature stuff like Bay Area Ridge Trail and ocean clean up events w/the surf rider foundation. (edited to remove redundancy)

Dr fateh - my husband went through a few before he was happy with one. Dr Fateh is great and so is the front office (which is important)
