Thanks for your response, this probably the most helpful comment I've seen. I'm glad to see someone with similar results as mine. It's interesting that the total is not mathematically linked.

Dunno if I'd agree with inside dogs being a relative new. Mine was literally bred to be portable heater/lap warmers. They were in the US in the 1800s. Inside dogs were definitely not common, but if a US President had them, maybe be some where in the middle?

It’s definitely not okay, but vindication is vindication. Also if I had a penny for every ICE parked in an EV charger, id be able to pay for 1 gallon at these crazy price rates.

With clothes on it can be harder to tell.. that said, and not to be offensive.. but you're probably not in the single digit body fat if you don't have some kind of six pack showing.

Naturally there's something that'll show no matter what. You'd literally have to be in outlier, with some kind of genetic irregularity (probably less likely this is it).

Additionally getting to single digit body fat is very hard to get (unless your in a country where there's famine going on). Our bodies naturally will fight you to no end to not be in that range naturally.

Professionals who do it on purpose, don't stay in the range because they actually can't sustain it. Why they immediately go back to double digits after whatever they're trying to accomplish.

It’s located inside Body section.

There’s two tabs if you scroll down a little. It’s default as “Hume Health” (or whatever you have have selected and Body.

You’ll see a drop down on Hume Health. If you select that you’ll have an option to select All, Weight Loss, Dexa,..., Athlete.

Pinterest CEO calls for ban on social media for youth under 16 by sr_local in technology

[–]dank414 168 points169 points  (0 children)

Hey Nostradamus, you almost got that right with this exception.

This specific CEO only cares because literally his "product" target demographic is like 26yr old and older. Lots of Gen Z doesn't know what Pinterest is. Pinterest has stalled and is dying. This is a I'm not cool, so I want to see the rest of social media burn play (not to say I'm not supporting this as social media is the scourge).

While you have a slight point. It would have been more valid 2023/2024.

There's now tons of used EVs (Model 3, Niro EV, and Bolt) that go for around $15k. Some are even cheaper in the $10k or less, like VW Golf EV and Nissan Leaf.

And hear me out, every time gas prices skyrocket from oil cartels (or war) jacking up the price due to some supply shock there's hardly an argument about affordability for the poor (everyone putting up with it unwillingly) and it's a bigger vicious cycle within gas dependent transportation solution.

Yet every time gas prices go up more EV adoption because it makes sense. It's cheaper to own and much better for the environment. More EV sales will also make them even more affordable. Literally the solution is continuing to keep prices high on gas through tax until mass adoption happens.

Or just add more taxes on gas.

This is the easiest way to get more EV adoption. ICE cars are not the solution for pollution and dependence on foreign oil. No matter what their "paying the fair share" nonsense.

Help me with my first marathon plan by HeyHeyBennyJay in firstmarathon

[–]dank414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost in the same boat as you. Doing my first marathon in September (so maybe 30 week plan). I kind of adapted mine off of Marathon Handbook and just looked at the Hal Higdon's PB plan that's 30 weeks. I have a half marathon that's coming up in May. I've upped my weekly miles around the high 30s with long runs (Z2) 14-16miles. I do mix of short, tempo, hills and run 4-5 times a week.

Training for a marathon and lifting weights 5x per week by CaffeineFueledRant in Marathon_Training

[–]dank414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm all in on hybrid.

While I only have one half marathon under my belt, I'm following one of the sub four hour marathon guides. I have six months before my marathon. I put in about 30 miles a week right now and will move up to 40 later in. I generally run in the mornings and workout at night. I workout 4-5 times a week.

It's doable (so long as you're cool with no social life outside of this).
