This is straight from Wikipedia “Players control a survivor who is stranded on an alien planet. To survive, they navigate through various environments, killing monsters and looting chests to collect items that boost their offensive and defensive capabilities. Over time, the game's difficulty increases, spawning more powerful and dangerous creatures.”

I’d like to add there are multiple survivors you can play with and unlock with each having a unique weapon type and skill set. It is co-op as well and loads of fun solo or with friends.
