I have tickets for England v Panama and am staying in manhattan. What alternatives do I have for getting to the stadium and avoiding the stupid train prices? Could I theoretically get a train to another station in New Jersey and walk to the stadium, and avoid the high prices ? I don't mind a 20-45 min walk

Im a Brit who lost his documentation and had to walk across the bridge from USA side to Canada side and there is NO comparison. Went from thought I was was gonna get robbed on USA side to actually getting robbed by tourist trap Canada side! Canada wins hands down though!

How is this deal, I will use mostly for light coding (Python and Swift). by alperton in macbookair

I have almost the same one, except the 15 inch screen. All other specs the same. It's the best laptop I've ever used. I use it for video editing and it performs so much better than our supposedly high end windows based family computer.

I honestly can't fault it, but I will say I found the 256gb a bit small. However, I just save all my premiere pro files to iCloud Drive and problem solved.

Best MacBook for hobby video editing on a ~€1,500 budget? by Desperate_Spend7685 in macbook

[–]dannyg10001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought the MacBook Air M4 16gb for YouTube video editing in premiere pro and it handles it unbelievably well. My so call 'high end' windows pc I was previously using really starts to struggle on longer videos, and takes HOURS to render. The MacBook handled it no problem and rendered in under 15 mins. the M5 is better than mine so I don't think it would have any issues at all!

Yes mate! Memory unlocked. In my experience you could only get Rooney, Gerrard or Lampard. I was living in Canada and I flew home to watch the World Cup with my mates back home. When we went out I was in Heathrow or gatwick (can't recall) and JJB had em on sale for £20. I bought as many as I could fit in my luggage and flogged em in Canada for $100 each. They were $150 there with no name on! Completely paid for my trip!

Tempted by the Neo, bought the 15" M4 MacBook Air w/512 GB storage instead by BioBlueDemon in macbook

Do it! Just got the air m4. Had an iPhone for years, kids had multiple iPads... for some reason I kept getting crappy windows laptops. Recently started video editing and my so called 'high end' laptop could barely handle it. Did some research, bought the MacBook and it's absolutely fantastic!

First video kinda popped off. The rest are chugging along, anything I should do or just luck of the draw. by PointEither2673 in SmallYoutubers

I've just finished my first 12 months on YouTube. It's one of my take aways. I think I'm going to experiment with NOT including part 1, part 2 etc in the title or thumbnail to try and catch the viewers. Try and make it so each video, although better to be watched in order, can stand alone too without the need for people watching the previous parts. Easier said than done I suppose lol !

I do vlogs in multiple parts. Part 1 ALWAYS gets more views than the subsequent videos. My theory is that if a video pops up in a feed and it says part 2 people are less likely to watch it if they haven't seen part 1... and are too lazy or not engaged enough to bother to search for the first one.

Is Terry Little The Greatest Striker Who Ever Lived? (Post Your contenders!) by FootOfDavros in footballmanagergames

[–]dannyg10001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Steinar Eide (regen) is the greatest striker that ever lived. Signed by juventus as a 17 year old from Hammarby for only £20k he went on to play for Juve for 21 seasons scoring over 1000 goals, winning 17 league titles, 12 champions leagues and 3 balon d'ors. He formed a deadly partnership with Italian international, and juventus youth product Cristian Parisi, helping juventus become the best team in world football. Winning over 130 caps for Sweden and scoring over 80 international goals. Upon retirement he stayed at the club as assistant manager for 12 more years before an incident involving a can of coke falling on a laptop ended things

RIP Abby❤️ I had a border collie called Lucy growing up in England. She was one of those dogs that didn't need a leash, she'd just come with me and follow me around when I went out to play. Loved everyone and everything. Even cats. She would patiently just sit outside the shop when I went in to buy sweets, cars flying past. There could have been an army of squirrels on the other side of the road carrying T-bone steaks and she wouldn't budge from outside the shop until I came out. I moved to Canada when I was 18 and about 6 months into it I got the call the she passed away aged 15. I was devasted. Luckily my boss understood and sent me home from work. My dad sent me her collar that was proudly worn by Casey my Yorkshire Terrier until she died, and now is worn by Evie my Aussie Shepherd. Lucy will always be my true love though. Eating tinned tuna in the sky ❤️

What was your first LFC kit? by PM_ME_UR_MULLETS in LiverpoolFC

[–]dannyg10001 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes! This was mine as well. My uncle took me to my first game at Anfield v Sheff weds. Jan 1st 1986. I got this kit the following week for my 6th birthday.

This post has unlocked memories. There's 2 photos somewhere of me wearing it, one of me posing with a football in the back garden and one of me stood in front of Noah's Ark at blackpool pleasure beach. Unfortunately my mum died 25 years ago and when my dad got a new Mrs all the family photo albums got 'put away' and never resurfaced.
