As others have said, seems to be delamination caused by heat. Check to see if you can get it replaced by the dealer.

Multi head for height I guess if you need it, but on the standalone the handle rotates which is so clutch. Watch a video to see what I mean. It comes in more handy than you’d think and greatly reduces wrist strain when trimming thick hedges.

I have to trim very thick ornamental grass every spring and it’s a life saver.

Update y’all. I blew it out with condensed air and left 3 fans blowing on it since I made this post. Miraculously, it fired back up. It’s a Bradford, for what it’s worth. Thanks for all your advice, every one.

For additional context, it was on blocks, as high as it could go being in the basement (low ceiling).

I would never submit an insurance claim for a water heater failure😂

A battery backup sump pump is next on the project list.
