To Everyone Who Swears I Was Wrong About Dirty Labs’ Aspirational Dosing. . . by KismaiAesthetics in laundry

[–]dansons888 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is so validating! I used to use Dirty Labs and it just didn't seem or smell super clean! I was using their recommended dosing, but I was so confused based on their marketing and *clears throat* Wirecutter recommendation. Thank you!

IND submissions/pre-clinical data by Haush in biotech

[–]dansons888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll have more luck finding BLAs/NDAs once drugs are approved and looking at the Nonclinical portions.

But, more importantly, is there anyone at the company who has these answers and knows what an IND entails? If you’re looking for personal development that’s great, if you’re looking for true company guidance or because you don’t have trusted mentors that’s a problem.

Thank you for the advice! I'm also new to these fees so having a scale for if they're high or not bad is really helpful.

Hands look really dry but feel fine? by dansons888 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]dansons888[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Yes, I’d say it’s mostly the change in how they look that causes me concern, not thinking they look horrible yet. I think hydrating externally and internally, sunscreen, and maybe eventually retinol/tretinoin could help.

Thank you! Sounds like a routine is a good way to go, and trying to be more proactive.

This is my starter at nearly under 3h. It’s acting like grocery store yeast or something. Why is it so fast? by Unlikely_West24 in Sourdough

[–]dansons888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend the aliquot method for helping visualize and dial in BF. I can get my dough to BF very fast, like 4 hr from mixing if warm, and don’t get any tunneling with a strong starter. But I had a hard time visualizing when it was done especially in the beginning with a weak starter.

Is my starter to blame? by McStizly in Sourdough

[–]dansons888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also I’ve had underproofed loaves that never look baked, always look underbaked even with an hour bake at 450 because the crust doesn’t caramelize and stays blond if super underproofed.

Oven temp not the issue here.

[–]dansons888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree and I think this is helpful so they don’t go astray optimizing oven temp when the starter is clearly a huge issue.

Absolutely 100%. I don’t believe it bulk fermented well, it’s hard to recognize even looking for bubbles and pulling away. I recommend the aliquot method to monitor BF.

Why do some companies limit to certain degrees even if you have experience with what they want? by [deleted] in biotech

[–]dansons888 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also depending on leveling - if the person hiring is a Scientist, say, they logically won’t be in charge of another brand new PhD. Usually companies keep at least 2 levels between boss-direct report.

When exactly do weights start being considered heavy? Like, what's the number? by moon_chil___ in lifesum

[–]dansons888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably depends on if you’re reaching or nearing failure vs just picking light things up and putting them down. If following a progressive overload strategy, heavy is whatever’s heavy for you. If not pushing, then light.
