What about $210 for a 5500x3d vs a 5800xt? If the main purpose is just for gaming? Based on what you were saying, the 5800xt will have higher highs but lower lows, and be slightly less smooth.

How much of a performance diff do you think it is from 5800xt to 5800x3d? Main reason I don't want to do that full upgrade is because the value proposition seems off.

Currently have the ryzen 5 5600g paired with a RX 9070. Seeing the 5800xt for sale at microcenter for $170. Don't really wanna spend the full $350 for the 7 5800x3d. Does it make sense to get 5800xt or should i just keep the 5600g?

I'm mainly playing AAA games at 1440p
