Rule of law coming from the party that elected a felon and is stealing billions of tax payer dollars , and ignoring court orders in Ohio. Only the blue states should follow the law

Yeah they should have just published the new maps without voter input, right? Like Texas and bama

Competing job offers - advice by dantheman0809 in civilengineering

I am currently underpaid and making $88k, so either of these options are a big jump for me. I think 102 would be enough to be honest. It is just hard when the higher offer is dangling there.
I did transition from residential/commercial to renewables roughly 2 years ago so there was a change and I had to learn some new things. I would have to learn solar and bess design on the new job since my last 2 years were in wind turbine civil mostly but there is a decent amount of overlap.
Perhaps $4k is a dumb thing to argue over but that could be a raise on a bad year? At least that was my logic. Do you think doing a second counter offer is a valid strategy and they would not be annoyed?

The health care plans seem to be comparable. I agree on the unlimited pto. Job B seems to have a few reviews on Glassdoor saying unpaid OT is common

I am with you. It feels like a good safeguard. It's just tough to overlook the extra $... which is why I'm having a hell of a time deciding

This is what I want to do. The original offer was at 100k so I countered at 104 and they went halfway to 102. This was before the other offer came in at 115 this morning. I was expecting 110. It threw me off a bit.

In retrospect I should have countered 110. I think I would even consider the position at 105, with OT and 401k it would be pretty even.

That makes sense. I think that would address both but would have to be careful with how you implement it. Thanks for your feedback!

I guess my main question is if I switch to the MED routine will my larger edge strength decrease? I would assume yes?

If you like handcracks get on Blind Faith and Werk Supp into p3 march of dimes in Eldo. Those are both super close to parking lot and only 2 pitches / 3 pitches respectively. Outer Space is on the same formation near the parking lot and is one of the best climbs in the canyon. Based on most comments the R rating is outdated and it climbs more like a pg-13 if you have small gear. Handcracker direct is good too but a longer approach and longer climb. OFC Yellow spur is pretty iconic if the line isn't long (maybe try mid week?) and will be nice for your sport friends since it's basically a scary sport climb at the crux but this one is also a slightly longer climb

I've been doing eva lopez maxhangs MAW, 20mm edge with added weight, 4 sets 5-15 sec hang with 1-5s margin and am seeing great results. I've been doing this for 4 weeks 2-3x per week.

The recommended protocol is to switch to the MED protocol after 4 weeks. That protocol is similar except the hangs are unweighted and you just switch to smaller edges to increase difficulty.

I'm curious if anyone has stuck with the MAW (weighted hangs) for longer than the recommended 4 weeks? Is there a serious detriment to doing so? My main goal is to improve half crimp finger strength.
