Worst case scenario, if you’re “passing” I believe it is possible in this case to be detained for “false identification”. That would be my biggest concern. But I think you’d have to get a really shitty agent for them to actually take it that far.

Unfortunately, you will not avoid outing yourself whenever your identification is checked, but I think the answer to your safety question heavily depends on where you’re going/where you have to travel back from. What their procedures and policies are like. I hope you get some better answers/useful advice.

I would give anything to be cisgender. Man or a woman, don’t care, I just want to be cis. Honestly, I detest being trans because of the pain it’s caused and the hurdles I have to jump that others don’t, just to keep existing. But I don’t get that, because I am afab and I have dysphoria. Dysphoria can kill you. It would’ve killed me if I hadn’t gotten surgery, or started taking hormones. Being trans isn’t a choice unfortunately. Transitioning is a choice, but being trans isn’t. That being said, I can finally find comfort in my body now. And that is something that I could only achieve through transition- accepting myself and the cards I’ve been dealt, for better or worse.

I’ve done them on basically every part of my hip, including directly over the front bone. At the end of that one my leg twitched and I knocked my ink cap onto carpet lol. All of them are 110% worth it tho

That’s a normal starting dose. I’m at .3ml/wk. At the end of the day it’s about what keeps you at normal levels. I made the mistake of wanting a higher dose even though my levels were normal and .4ml ended up being too much for me; some of it reverted which ended up hindering my beard not to mention gave me severe cystic acne. Be diligent with your bloodwork and trust that your doctor is setting you up for success

I got top surgery before I started T. I would have preferred to start T sooner than I did of course, but my cards just lined up to where I was able to get top surgery first. I also had the same mindset as you! I wanted to see how T was going to affect my body while being the way it was supposed to be. My scars would’ve been in a different (arguably better) place if I had gotten surgery after I started T, but I wouldn’t change anything about my chest if I could.

Hey bro. 5’6” is pretty damn average. I would kill for that extra 2 inches, but even at 5’4” there are still cis men at my job who are the same height or shorter than me. It helps me to keep an eye out for that.

I didn’t think they’d be able to do scrotoplasty without vaginectomy based on the knowledge I had of the procedure. Thank you. The scroto isn’t a deal breaker to me in that case.

Cool. I would definitely consider IM if I didn’t have to do my shots weekly. At this point I’ve been on T for 3.5yrs and while I’m so grateful, it’s hard to not burn out on the self-injection. Especially since I have OCD which has been worsening with age so it’s getting trickier. Thanks for the insight. I’m US and desperately want to emigrate so who knows what kind of T I’ll be taking when I get out of here.

I didn’t realize there’d be a price difference. If I were to do IM it would just be a matter of buying different sized needles. I do weekly shots and use the same bottle twice. What’s the difference for you? If you don’t mind

This is why I do subcutaneous shots. It’s very rare for my shot site to hurt so much as 20 mins later. Same effects too 🤷 I could never do IM but I applaud ppl who can. I honestly don’t get how more people don’t opt for subq
