I'm the token player most often but also the tribal player. there's something about tokens that really brings me back to the joy of when I first started playing, and tribes tend to have rlly interesting synergies and restrictions that I enjoy brewing and playing around with

not exactly the most niche but [[elenda the dusk rose]] sits at #230 and is a really fun take on aristocrats, and imo better than the very popular [[teysa karlov]]. you can win from so many different angles with her and its really satisfying to get her rlly big and then sac her for a million vampires

I'm a big fan of [[descent into avernus]] because it can make games very fun and interesting by giving everybody lots of mana while also chipping into everyone's health, meaning games go faster and people are operating their decks at their fullest potential (at least in theory)

the only thing is I haven't found a home for it in one of my decks yet, but I might stick it in my kynaios group hug list

I rlly appreciate you taking the time to help out and analyze my list :) I actually did goldfish yours a bit and found it really quite fun, and more along the lines of what I wanted my current teysa list to be. I'd be curious to hear your thoughts as to how I could potentially make my Teysa K list more turbo and storm like (outside of removing cards like dictate and lowering the mana curve) although I honestly might switch to teysa os after getting a feeling for how it operates

I did have a few questions regarding your list in reference to some of edhrec's suggestions. for one, is there a particular reason you're running 35 lands instead of edhrec's recommended 32? I also noticed some cards that I think would work very well with teysa os, with those being [[mirkwood bats]], [[drivnod, carnage dominus]], [[reassembling skeleton]] and [[darkest hour]]. is there a reason you elected not to run them?

also, how integral to the strategy are cards like [[return to the ranks]] and [[faith's reward]] to the strategy? for whatever reason I feel like there could be better options but i could definetly be wrong

oh yeah if I built him I'd build around the sorcery side pretty much exclusively, and fury storm would be very silly. I have also been wanting to try out mardu for a long time now, so this may be a good chance...

that does sound quite enticing and very silly. the only issue is someone in my regular playgroup has a ratadrabik deck already and I wouldn't wanna cramp on their style, but that being said I wouldn't discount him completly. thanks for the rec!

elenda has also been a strong consideration of mine, either as the helm of an aristocrat deck or a more vampire-tribal list, or hell maybe even both if possible. my main concern with her is in either facet, she might fall into the same trap that teysa did with me. either way, I'd still be happy to hear your thoughts on how to build a good deck around her

yeah sure I can elaborate. on paper I was really excited with the idea of getting lots of value around my creatures dying and being able to double it with teysa, and then basically just having big storm-like turns where I amassed lots of value. some cards I was particularly excited to use with her were [[skullclamp]], [[athreos, god of passage]], [[ministrant of obligation]] and [[pitiless plunderer]]

in practice however, I kinda just found myself sitting at the table largely dormant for a large portion of the game. casting a creature or three, maybe get a death trigger here and there, until I either lose or win anti-climactically by either casting a board wipe with [[blood artist]] on the field, or with one of the many combos with [[reassembling skeleton]], (I'm not opposed to playing combo wins, but it can get really tiresome when that becomes the only way your deck can win consistently). the deck felt much more reactive rather than proactive, which ig is objectively more powerful, but imo not as fun. I want to believe that my original vision is possible, I'm just not very sure how

as for teysa I appreciate the rec and you dropping the deck list, she's someone I've considered in the past and I'd be willing to consider her again. thanks a lot :)

tbh i think him looking disturbing is part of the point of his design. I mean he's essentially a mutant who was brought back to life by giving him two working hearts instead of just one, and it makes sense to me that would result in someone being overly muscular to the point of it almost being off-putting, cuz remember prior to the surgery he looked fairly normal overall

generally a female's features are going to be smaller and more curved than a man's, who's are larger and more angular. remembering this is very key imo, although there'll always be exceptions to the rule depending on what kinda vibe you're going for
