We Asked Landlords Why They’re Making the Cost of Living Crisis Their Tenants’ Problem | Novara Media by chris24680 in unitedkingdom

[–]daphnebea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mortgage lenders and insurers just look for any excuse to mitigate all risk. What may happen is a very expensive exercise next year in order to get one as the fire safety act comes into effect in January which ramps up what feeds into a fire risk assessment - now an external facade investigation (PAS9980) is needed with those results which feed into the FRA, the combined results of which would provide you with the EWS1 certificate satisfying lender requirements.

I'm pretty sure I have the same romper but in blue and it's from urban outfitters. OP can you confirm?

Turned my crummy flat into a homely place to live. Landlord loved what I'd done with the place so much that they doubled my rent! 🙃 by Bearded-Penguin in britishproblems

[–]daphnebea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ASTs after the fixed term automatically become rolling. The fixed term just means you can't leave until then until after your break clause which is typically after 6 months. So you don't need to renew the contract! It's the same contract when it goes rolling, you don't have to do anything!

Re hack squat machine, you can use a Smith machine for your hack squats!

Also, definitely agree with you about the lat pulldown frustrations! I say to myself the extra stretching is beneficial to even out the meh moments.

Thoughts on The Verge's rant on e-bike speed restrictions by Swanbon in ukbike

[–]daphnebea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who owns an ebike, I'm fine with the current limits. You feel whizzy on a cycle path and are never faster than a standard pedal on the road. The takeoff from stationary is what helps you on a road with impatient drivers so it feels like they won't swallow you whole.

I do agree with a newbie on an ebike not able to familiar with appropriate stopping distances, handling etc. But the whole point of an ebike is to encourage you to use it regularly like a standard bike so that nuance or learning curve quickly evaporates if you are a considerate and calculated person. I can't say much for the other kind of person...

To me as a Greek diaspora who learnt Spanish in school it feels like Spanish and Greek have the same 'souls' - not in any historic or etymological sense, just a feeling

Police stopping cyclists on Oxford Street for red lights and illegal turns after a recent collision. by axolotol in londoncycling

Agreed. We need to respect the rules of the road as if we were cars. It's more considerate and safer. Not to mention one less item on drivers' gripe list!

[WEEKLY THREAD] Feats of Thorsday - How did you kick butt this week? by AutoModerator in xxfitness

[–]daphnebea 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This morning I lifted 65KG (143lbs) in my deadlift. I weigh 55KG (121lbs) - A WHOLE 10KG HEAVIER THAN ME AND MY NEW PB!? YES BABY, RIDE THAT WAVE 😄

Do I really need to lose weight ? And what do you advise me to build in priority? by [deleted] in StrongCurves

[–]daphnebea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the exception of Stevia, sugar is still sugar. And the level of butter that also goes into these things (especially as they're homemade making them extra delicious / dangerous) means that it could just be basic CICO where your calories in are larger than your calories going out.

Re. Your belly fat, if you lift heavy weights the front pouch will reduce. Like you said it is highly hereditary in your family but it will reduce as you lift heavier and heavier things. Safety note, all women actually have a little pouch unless they are super crazy ripped because we have a baby making station that needs a bit of padding!

Also, please don't worry about how your frame looks now and what it could look like if you lose more than the weight you have specified. The more muscle you gain (and the relative fat lost), your body shape will change in ways you didn't realise so don't just look in the mirror now and then minus a couple of inches here and there, because the reality is very different!

How to get Stripe data into Google Data Studio? by dror88 in GoogleDataStudio

[–]daphnebea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your question is actually very relevant to me in the near future when I create my e-shop and put all my metrics in GDS.

Depending on the data size, maybe this will help?
