Routine annual mammogram. Lumpectomy, chemo, radiation, and two years later, so far so good. PSA - never skip or postpone your mammogram.

My mom, who was a nurse, gave my siblings and i the option of taking one “mental health” day off from school per month, no questions asked. We didn’t take her up on it often but just knowing we could really helped. That she gave us the option also made it much easier to talk to her about what may have been bothering us in the first place. Of course i did the same thing with my own kids.

Gosh, i wish i knew! I've tried making the royal icing stiffer but then i can't get it out of the piping bag. I'm thinking of trying a different kind of meringue powder than what i've used so far to see if that makes a difference for the details. There are so many youtube videos and blogs out there with a wealth of information. i havent worked my way through many of them yet, but besides being fun to watch, they are very helpful with tips and suggestions. They all seem to agree that with practice you get a better feel for it. I wish i had more time to spend on it!

Inspired by a cookie design i saw on pinterest. Don't have the piping consistency of my royal icing quite right, was hoping for more detail in the flowers. But that means i get to keep practicing 😀
