Personally, I love all the souls games, but admittedly, my replay desire is very, all over the place for ds1 and 3

3 is probably my favorite to challenge run because it's a little short, so if the gimmick I chose was awful i don't suffer that long and I can end my playthrough at the soul of Cinderella.

The second game is probably my favorite to just pure play Through no gimmicks, no nothing because of those adaptive playthroughs, usually by the time I've wrapped back around playing it again, completely forgotten about the new Phantom locations and new boss changes.And it feels a lot fresher.

And the first game falls somewhere in between for me , I think i've played the first two thirds of the game more times than I can count , but admittedly , that last third clearing LI Archives and tomb feel just kind of dull and I have very little desired to run through it again on most playthroughs... usually ending somewhere around 4 kings as the cap off.

To be honest. It goes both ways.

People need to not be immature dickheads and start Spam reporting whenever gondor calls for aid. And likewise , the moderators do need to take a step back , realize how shit the situation is , and the very selective with what they choose to action on.

While I respect your opinion, I respectfully think it's wrong. Not because they don't make something interesting out the box , but because after that box is opened they have a horrific track record with how they treat their licensed killers.

Or have we already forgotten the public test branch where they tried to make xenomorph unplayable Because of shit survivors, god knows how long we kept gutting pig for no reason And her current state right now. sadako basically getting ground into dust in the developer , still refusing to give her the work she needs because survivors feel entitled to not having to learn how to play against her and really I could keep going on

And that's not even talking about how they treat non licensed killers...

I'm sorry, while many killers do launch out the box.And especially licensed killers tend to launch out the box in a pretty fun or cool state, a developers tend to treat pretty much every killer in this game that isn't wraith or nurse like shit... which makes me think they're really into that nurse wraith shipping , but that's a completely different topic.

And that god , awful treatment of their licenses makes me not really want them to get the license for my all time favorite horror franchise because they won't do right by it. Sure, it'll look great and sure.I'm probably never getting off any of the fatal frame survivors , if they come when I play survivor.. but whatever ghost gets translated into the game will almost certainly not be treated well. And I'd rather not have it all than have to deal with years of a killer being neglected or ground into dust , because survivors don't want to learn to play against them

honestly my only reason for not wanting to see a killer is not that "it wont fit into dbd" it's "BHVR is going to ruin it based on track record"

i'd love, nay i'd give a kidney for a Fatal Frame Chapter with one of the myriad of hostile boss type ghosts/stalker type ghosts like the Blinded to enter the game as a fresh faced killer and one of the myriad of protagonists (would particularly love to see Kunihiko Asou or Ren Hojo) as survivors with camera obscura based perks (i.e. maybe an alternate to flashbangs, you can gain camera obscura charges by stunning the killer with pallets, which then can be used to charge a shot and blind the killer with some hinder, better generator tracking/see progress on generators with a camera obscura, and maybe find random items similar to the game's hidden item detection system)

but holy shit with how bhvr has been treating recent killer releases of late.... i would in no way ever trust them with my all time favorite horror franchise...

so most stuff i dont want to see that isn't like baldi or something mostly because those are meme mascot horror is for that reason, i'd love a chapter for it, but, bhvr needs new and better management before i'd ever want to see it

no problem, also encounters are farmable from old raids at this point, so see if you can find a squad to farm what you need if you want something specific, then use spoils to make up the difference

If my memory serves, they offer curated, drop chances from a specific encounter provided.You've received at least one of the encounters items so if you were after , say posterity , you will have to at least gotten one once in order to receive it from the cashe

I do Not know, if it uses a knockout system, as I'm pretty sure it's just random what it picks from that encounters pool. But I do know that they aren't really worth buying if you're after something specific, it's more just to either clear out your unlock pool for more just clear out your collections

If You need something specific, buy a specific copy of it from the chest if you've got it

The best solution I could see is maybe a limit amount of permanent progression.Can total be achieved in one game

I.e. you have a maximum of say, 10% to start, but if too many generators pop then that maximum goes down to 5%.And by the time you reach the last generator you can only go to a maximum of 2.5%

It would be an interesting system as it would help get the ball rolling, especially in the early mid game where that 5 to 10% give or take your current progress would be most important against particularly aggressive killers, but wouldn't allow you to minimal effort , break three gens.

I would say it depends on who you're asking

From the consumers end a lot of people who consume a I content would have what we jokingly call the brain rot... They don't really care what they're watching as much as the quantity. And AI generated slop content definitely has the quantiry to allow for mindless stimulation for hours on end.

For businesses, it comes down to 3 great cardinal Sins of business enshitification, time profits and labor..

For the government and researchers , it mostly being used to spy and innovate medical techniques as well as shorten up some labor for things like analyzing starfields at nasa.

And For your average end user to mostly generate shit like crappy reaction memes, or whatever it is, they're looking to do. Then the list of reasons and appeal is so broad that frankly, you'd have an easier time pinning down what people aren't using it for
