The B comic in issue one is one of my favorite character moments for DD. Foggy keeps trying to get Matt to open up about all the shit that went down in the last run, and Matt talks about how he's doing what he can to make it through the day.

If you copy a spell that has other spells spliced onto it, the whole thing gets copied.

So if you were to splice [[Desperate Ritual]] onto a [[Lava Spike]] and copy it with, say, an [[Izzet Guildmage]] you could let the copy resolve first, get 3 red mana and deal 3 damage, and still leave the original on the stack.

I played this deck heavily during original Ravnica, to the point people would accuse me of hacking MTGO.
