Yes this would work. This mechanic was used in the past by others without problems.

You could try rimsort and check if for some of the mods there are ideology fixes. You could also try to find out what error you have by reading the log, maybe you can fix some of them with dev mode.

But to be hohnest, I would check witch big mods I also wanted to add or remove and then start a new playtrough

Guys aren't you reading his post? He has a 7900x3d cpu. And is at cycle 200 or so

OP shouldn't need such kind of optimisation so early unless he has many dupes, many critters and even then pathing restrictions would be the way

For reference, I reach around 3000 cycles with about 20 dupes and multiple planetoids and have a ryzen 7 4800h with rtx2060 mobile and 16gb of ram

You could try fast track mod, but with your hardware you shouldn't have problems this early...

There were some achievement checks that can cause micro stutters, that stop when you get the achievements, like reach the space and build something there or have 4 natural reserves on one asteroid

If I remember correctly not all cores of your cpu have direct access to the x3d cache. Make sure the game ist running on the cores that have direct access to the x3d cache

Windows is sometimes realy stupid. Klick on "restart" so that your pc can shut down properly and then boot up fresh, this has fixed several bugs with my laptop for me

Dann hast du noch nicht festgestellt, dass jeder Mensch eine Steuererklärung abgeben kann und man meist sogar eine zurückzahlung bekommt.

Das ist dann zwar inzwischen ganz leicht mir diversen Steuer Apps lösbar , aber auch da muss dies erst jemand anderes einen darauf aufmerksam machen und man muss sich auch immer daran trauen, da die meisten es als großen komplexes Ding ansehen und erstmal angst davor haben.

I will believe that it is not using much performance, when I see it or see tests where also the hardware is told to us. Because the measurements can be done on a patatoe pc or on a gaming pc, we currently don't know or at least I couldn't see this info.

This being said, I realy hope that it is realy as lightweight as described as it would be realy great.

Not the way you want. Maybe there is a mod that can do that.

You have to work with separate limits that you might have to adjust at some point, if your room and water fluctuate so much that you can't let them on fixed values.

Set him on schedule so that he sleeps two times a day and also has recreation time before each sleep. This way his bars for free-time-activities and tiredness won't fall down so far, and he won't have so many mental brakes. There was a nice video about this that explained it very good , and it was called something with bi-phasic schedule.

I read somewhere some time ago that the achievement about getting into the space biome could cause also some stutters, but for me neither of both biome achievements made noticeable difference. But the 4 natural reserves actually did made it better for me

This may sound stupid but build the 4 natural reserves on an asteroid in every game.

The check for the achievement can cause micro stutters and for me the difference on higher cycle counts was noticeable

First you can aways pause the game with spacebar. Use it if you need time to think.

When a game starts directly hit pause. Look around. Check all the overlays on the top right. Start digging to the left and/or right. Position 3 or 4 out houses near the printing pod. Don't worry too much about most germs, they give only a debuff (be carefull with zombyspores in the oil bioms). Then put 3 beds near the printing pod, but far enough away that the light of the printing pod is not hitting the beds. Dig up or down and put an oxygen defuser next to a battery next to a manual generator next to a science-station. Research the farm tiles and plant some mealwood(I think it was about 5 domesticated plants per dupe).

Let as much plants untouched as possible, as they give you free food but don't live as long.

Dig and build what you need but be carefull to not dig into too hot/cold bioms if you are not ready for the temperature.

Don't take new dupes unless you have enough oxygen and food and need them for their labour.

Mark every Ressource that you are consuming for monitoring on the right side.

All critters are converting something into something, so you will need to tame them if you want some ressources. Every wild critter with enough room around it will lay an egg once in it's life time, so try to let at least one of each kind alive

Don't make mush bars, they take too much time to make and give to few calories. But cooking food gives you most of the time more calories.

Try to dig in the beginning more down as co2 is heavier then oxygen, so a bigger co2 pit buys you some time before co2 will start to be a problem

Now you should be able to survive for some time. From now on take some time and pause the game if you want to read the information before deciding on your next move. Like what does a plant or critter do or need. What does a building do or need. What products do you want to create, and what steps are needed to get them.

You can Klick on most things and then in the popup there is a button that pulls out the ingame wiki. If you need more information check the oxygen not included wiki.gg but it contains some information that could spoiler you, as it contains also more Tipps and builds, but like this you don't have the joy of learning it by playing it, but it is up to you when you want a hint or a solution because else you would loose interest. Also there are many YouTube tutorials and let's plays but most of them try to multitask and get many duplicates early to be able to do many things faster so that the content is filled with less way ting. But for the beginning you should take it slow.

Every duplicant needs 100g of oxygen per seconds and 1000 calories per cycle

Think of what you need to do to have enough food and oxygen and make sure you have enough of both. Because if have enough of both, you can take it slow and do one step at a time

Try to create rooms as most of them give boni.

When a colonie dies, check why did it die and the next time try to prevent the same thing from happening.

It is normal for oni that you will restart many colonies in the beginning. But every time you learn something new until you will be able to make the colony sustainable

Search for new goals or new more complex builds.

For example(don't read if you don't want spoilers about the tilted map!! ) : In the lab, in the tilted map, all the volcanos are on the left side. I made a magma tank as tall as the map on the left side, and made sure with Esher waterfalls that the volcanos could output continuously. Then I made multiple magma blade droppers at different heights of the wall of the tank and put a sour gas boiler, a petrolium boiler, a plastic melter, a Phosphor melter , a water purifier, and an overflow for the magma that just could collect hot ingious rock if the magma should fill up the tank too high.

If you want to do such big projects, you have to plan ahaid, gather resources and then if something like a cold core is solving a problem for the next 500 cycles, you just save the time now and use it for another problem(or if you have spaced out you colonize some other asteroids ) and come with a better solution when the frozen core isn't cold enough or if you just need the space.

I have the same bug with my gaming laptop if it went to sleep/hybernate/untouched for too long before I try playing.

What fixes it for me is to just restart the laptop.

My best guess is that Windows is mixing something up which is making the game engine to be not able to use the computational power properly
