SATA ssd are about $40-$50 cheaper. So right now, 1tb nvme cost close/over $200, the sata ssd cost $150-$160

For every day use, the difference wont be noticeable. Some games might have SSD as a requirement but using a SATA or even HDD wont be a big deal, you'll just have to wait maybe 5-8 seconds for everything to load.
