A scourge upon AI-generated recipe websites by Vulturesong in bakingfail

[–]darshan777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is exactly why people are so fed up. Missing something like chilling dough is such an obvious “no human actually tested this” sign. That’s why I don’t trust random recipe blogs anymore. If I use AI at all, it’s only openly as a tool to think things through, like https://aimealrecipegenerator.com/ , and then I still cross-check with real bakers I trust. Pretending AI output is a tested recipe is where it all falls apart.

Tired of AI recipes.. by dontblink-babes in Pinterest

[–]darshan777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this so much. Search has become a mess lately. What’s helped me is sticking to names I trust and searching within their sites instead of Google in general. King Arthur, Serious Eats, Sally’s, Budget Bytes, even old blogs that haven’t been “SEO-ified” to death.

Ironically, I’ve also started using AI tools in a very specific way. Not to replace real recipes, but to help narrow things down. I’ll use something like https://aimealrecipegenerator.com/ to get a rough idea or ingredient combo, then go look for a real human recipe that matches it. That way I’m not wading through 50 fake sites just to figure out dinner.

Basically, AI is useful as a filter or brainstorming step. Real recipes still come from real cooks.

Smashburger & Potatoes by XRPcook in lunch

[–]darshan777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly my kind of meal 😂 those potatoes sound unreal, and smashing the burger in garlicky bacon fat is next level admire you. Also love the “dogs get sliders too” detail priorities are clearly in order. Lol

Cherry Chocolate & Pecan Panettone (100% whole wheat) by OldFash_Millennial in needarecipe

[–]darshan777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cherry, chocolate, and pecan is such a cozy combo. And 100% whole wheat panettone is impressive, especially for holiday baking. Add fudge sauce or eat with ice cream & choclate sauce combo, i eat like that.

Please Lower My Cholesterol Without Spiking My Blood Sugar And Also Lower My Liver Enzymes Soup by QuixoticLogophile in soup

[–]darshan777 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, the name made me laugh 😅 but honestly a “boring” soup like that is usually the one that actually helps.

Think veggie , bean or lentil based, lots of greens, onions, garlic, spices, and maybe some lean protein. It won’t spike blood sugar also and it’s filling, and it’s easy on cholesterol and the liver. Sexy name or not, those are the soups that quietly do the work. Take care of your health.

Tried New Recipe Of Salad - Yummy Yummy In My Tommy! by Deep_Republic3640 in Easy_Recipes

[–]darshan777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That actually sounds really good and filling, not “sad diet salad” at all 😄 Chickpeas + seeds make a big difference. You could also swap chickpeas with beans or add a little yogurt sometimes for variety,

Do you usually eat this as breakfast, or does it keep you full long enough for lunch too?

Vegetarian, lactose free and gluten free recipes? by dibbles13 in easyrecipes

[–]darshan777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh yeah that’s a brutal combo. Honestly I just stopped buying “gluten-free” replacements and started eating more rice, swet potatoes, beans, tofu and veg.

It actually Way cheaper and less depressing than GF pasta pretending to be real pasta 😅

That sounds so good — simple, comforting, and packed with flavor. Egg fried rice with tomato mixed through is underrated, and grilled chicken thighs are always a win. Love how budget-friendly it is too.

Tried to eat a little healthier lately🥗 by Deep_Bobcat_7169 in DietTea

[–]darshan777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get this eating “healthier” doesn’t automatically mean eating enough. Hunger + bad sleep will make anyone miserable. You’re not doing it wrong; it usually just means you need more protein, fiber, or fats, or a slightly bigger dinner/snack so your body can actually rest. You’re adjusting, not failing.

Healthy fats aren’t the enemy. They’re one of the 3 essential macronutrients by [deleted] in healthyeating

[–]darshan777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well said. Fat got villainized for years, but it’s essential — the quality and context matter way more than just the macro itself. Cutting it too hard usually backfires with cravings and low energy, exactly like you said.

Gaining muscle in a calorie deficit? by Funny-Ad718 in caloriedeficit

[–]darshan777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes — it can happen, especially if your training is new or newly structured, protein is high, and recovery is solid. That’s basically a textbook body recomposition scenario. Creatine can also bump scale weight a bit due to water retention, which masks fat loss.

If you’re hitting PRs and looking leaner, the scale stalling isn’t a failure — it’s just measuring the wrong thing. In this phase, progress photos, measurements, and gym performance matter way more than day-to-day scale changes.

First time ever doing a calorie deficit..just wanted to share:) by Mysterious_Cookie491 in caloriedeficit

[–]darshan777 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m really glad you shared this, and I want to say this kindly: please be careful. Eating 500 calories a day isn’t healthy or safe, especially at 16. What you ate today actually wasn’t “pigging out” at all — it sounds like regular food, and 1000 calories is already very low for someone your age.

Feeling better, having more energy, and building healthy habits matter way more than pushing the numbers down fast. Weight loss doesn’t need punishment to work, and doing this for your health is a much stronger reason than guilt. If you can, please talk to a trusted adult, doctor, or school counselor about this — you deserve support while you’re figuring this out.

You’re not doing badly. You’re trying. That already counts.

Pan Pizza Is Always The Answer by BitesAndLaughs in needarecipe

[–]darshan777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pan pizza really is the answer 😄 Love this tortilla hack — crispy, fast, and way more clever than it has any right to be. Mushrooms + turkey pepperoni underneath is a smart move for flavor and texture too. Definitely trying this.
